Football practice will begin at the end of July — Targeting July 20th/27th. More information to come!

Football Camp (Grades 3rd–8th) will be held at the High School June 22nd-24th 6-8pm. More information to come.

Greetings Sunnyside Jr Grizzlies!

We're excited to announce a unique opportunity for our team to host a Sunnyside Jr Grizzlies “MCTAKEOVER”at our local McDonald's, made possible by Sandra Sanchez and our local Sunnyside McDonald's.

This event showcases the impact of community partnerships and will help us raise essential funds for the Sunnyside Jr Grizzlies Association.

We're seeking 14 volunteers - coaches, team moms, and parents - to join us in serving our community from 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM.

We invite our community to support us by purchasing their favorite McDonald's meal, beverage, or dessert between 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM, as a percentage of the proceeds earned during this time will be donated to the Sunnyside Jr Grizzlies. We appreciate your support.

Hello Sunnyside Jr Grizzlies,

If you or someone else is interested in refereeing and making some extra money then get signed up for one of two sessions this Thursday March 26th, 2026 at the Zillah Best Western Conference Room.

There are two different sessions one starting from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM and a second one starting from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

Call Mr. Biglin at 509-551-9438 to get on the list for one of the 2 sessions.

Anyone 15 Years Old or older can become a referee, training and gear will be provided. Thank you

Well after postponing last Saturdays helmet pick up for recertification due to all the snow on the pass our Riddell Representative made it over today.

I want to thank Coach Jimmy Salinas and our General Manager / Coach Mando Madrigal for helping get all our helmets separated and ready to be picked up for recertification last week.

We ended up having to bring them to my house to meet up with the Riddell Representative.

We have 70 helmets that went out today and we should have them back by July just in time for fall season to start.

This will cost roughly our Sunnyside Jr Grizzlies program around $5000.00 to get these helmets certified to use for the next 2 years. This has to be done every 2 years for all helmets. We have helmets that will be going out every year depending when they were purchased. All helmets are pulled after 10 years of use and must be replaced with new helmets.

Again this is where the importance of sponsorships and yearly fundraising comes in to play for these types of things. We have to maintain our equipment for the safety of the kids and legal liability.

Unfortunately it is not free and having a good team to budget the funds raised through the season plays a big role in making the Sunnyside Jr Grizzlies youth football program successful in keeping up with gear certifications. If you have any questions regarding certifications please feel free to reach out. Thank you!! 😊😊
