💗 Seven years of dedication, two incredible women, and one very special day for our Gentle Hearts family!

Today, November 1, we're celebrating two meaningful milestones: Kari McLeod's FIVE-year anniversary and Heather Ketchum's TWO-year anniversary with Gentle Hearts Living Solutions! 🎉

As a family-owned company, we've always believed that the people who make up our team are what make Gentle Hearts special. Every person brings something different to the table, and it's those individual strengths, personalities, and experiences that allow us to do the work we do.

Today, we get to recognize two women who have each made their own meaningful mark on our organization.

🌸 Kari McLeod | Celebrating 5 Years

Five years. It's hard to believe how much can happen in that amount of time!

Over the past five years, Gentle Hearts has grown, evolved, faced challenges, celebrated successes, and helped countless families navigate some of life's most difficult decisions.

And Kari has been part of that journey.

In senior care navigation, the work is rarely simple. Every family comes to us with a different story, different needs, and different challenges. It takes patience, dedication, knowledge, and a genuine commitment to helping people find their way forward.

We're grateful for the time, energy, and experience Kari has invested in our company and the relationships she's helped build along the way.

Five years represents more than a milestone on a calendar. It represents a meaningful chapter in the history of Gentle Hearts, and we're thankful Kari has been part of it.

🌸 Heather Ketchum | Celebrating 2 Years

Two years ago, Heather joined our team as Office Manager, and she's become such an important part of the day-to-day life of Gentle Hearts.

There is so much that happens behind the scenes in a company like ours. While our care navigators are out meeting families, visiting communities, and coordinating care transitions, there are countless moving pieces that need attention to keep everything running.

Heather is one of the people helping make all of that possible.

She's dependable, thoughtful, and always willing to lend a hand. She's also someone who takes the time to check in on her teammates, listen when someone needs support, and offer a steady presence when things get busy.

It's often the work that happens quietly, without much fanfare, that makes the biggest difference to a team. And Heather brings that kind of support every day.

We're grateful for the care she puts into her work and, just as importantly, the care she shows the people around her.

Two different roles. Two different journeys. One shared commitment to Gentle Hearts and the families we serve.

Kari and Heather, thank you for the years you've invested in this company, the relationships you've built, and the many ways you've contributed to our story.

🎉 10 years of making a difference deserves a celebration! 🎉

And The Center at Val Vista certainly knows how to throw a party! 🎲♥️♠️

We had a wonderful time celebrating their 10-year anniversary with an evening full of fun, laughter, and connection.

One of our favorite parts of working in senior care is the relationships we build along the way. Events like these give us a chance to step away from the day-to-day, reconnect with familiar faces, meet new ones, and celebrate the people and organizations that make our senior care community so special.

🎉 Today we're celebrating someone who means an awful lot to our Gentle Hearts family. Happy Birthday, Heather Ketchum! 💗

Every team has those people who make things a little easier, a little brighter, and a whole lot better simply by being themselves. For us, Heather is one of those people.

She's not necessarily the loudest person in the room, and she's certainly not someone who goes looking for the spotlight. But if you've spent any time around Heather, you know just how much her presence means.

She's the person who checks in just to see how you're doing. The one who's always willing to lend a helping hand, even when she has plenty on her own plate. The person you can turn to when you need to talk something through, work through a challenge, or simply have someone listen.

And Heather really does listen. Not just to respond or offer a quick solution, but because she genuinely cares about the people around her.

There's a special kind of kindness in that. The kind that doesn't ask for recognition or expect anything in return. It just shows up, day after day, in the little things.

As a company built around compassion, human connection, and service to others, we're fortunate to have people like Heather who live those values so naturally.

Heather, we hope you know how much you're appreciated, not just for everything you do, but for the wonderful person you are. You've made Gentle Hearts a better place to work, and we're grateful to have you in our corner.

A beautiful community is wonderful. But the right care is what makes it home. ❤️

When families begin touring senior living communities, it's natural to notice the beautiful dining rooms, welcoming common areas, and impressive amenities. Those things matter! They help make a community feel comfortable and inviting.

But during Long-Term Care Planning Month, we want to encourage families to look a little deeper.

Behind Gentle Hearts is a woman with a whole lot of heart. 💗
October is Women-Owned Small Business Month, and we couldn't let it pass without celebrating our very own Michelle Sayles!
As our co-founder and CEO, Michelle has helped build Gentle Hearts Living Solutions from a deeply personal family experience into a company dedicated to helping other families navigate some of life's most difficult decisions.
What started in 2018 with a desire to do things differently has grown into a team serving families across Arizona and Idaho. Through it all, Michelle has remained committed to the things that mattered from the very beginning: compassion, integrity, meaningful relationships, and making sure families feel heard and supported.
Being a small business owner isn't always easy. There are long days, difficult decisions, and plenty of moments that require a little extra determination. But there's also something incredibly special about building a business around something you believe in.

October is Long-Term Care Planning Month.
Most families we meet didn’t plan on needing us.
Something happened.
A fall. A hospitalization. A change in memory. A discharge date that suddenly turned a conversation about “someday” into a decision that needed to be made now.
That’s why we love the message behind this month.
Planning for long-term care doesn’t mean deciding today that Mom needs assisted living or Dad needs memory care. It means understanding what they want, knowing what options exist, and having some of the important conversations while there’s still time to make thoughtful decisions.
Because you shouldn’t have to make a five-year decision in 48 hours.
Throughout October, we’re going to share some practical information to help families start those conversations, understand different levels of care, and know what questions are worth asking.
And if you’re not sure where to start, that’s okay. That’s exactly what we help families figure out.

☕ Good coffee, great conversations, and even better connections!
One of our favorite things about working in senior care is the incredible people we get to work alongside.
Each month, our very own Jonathan Grosvenor brings local professionals together for Coffee & Connections, an opportunity to catch up with familiar faces, meet new ones, share ideas, and strengthen the relationships that make our community so special.
This month, we had the pleasure of gathering at Studio Vargas, where Andres Vargas graciously opened his doors and welcomed everyone into his beautiful space. A huge thank you to Andres for the hospitality!
While we all bring different backgrounds, experiences, and areas of expertise to the table, we share something important: a commitment to serving our community and the people who depend on us.
And sometimes, the best collaborations don't start in a conference room or during a formal meeting. They start over a cup of coffee and a genuine conversation.
We're grateful for everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to join us, and especially proud of Jonathan for continuing to create opportunities for our community to come together.

Good people, great conversations, and an evening spent celebrating the relationships that make our healthcare community special!
Last week, members of our Gentle Hearts Living Solutions team joined Mission Healthcare at OHSO Brewery for their Referral Partner Appreciation Happy Hour.
It was a wonderful opportunity to catch up with familiar faces, make some new connections,
and spend time with the incredible professionals who dedicate their days to supporting patients, seniors, and families throughout our community.
At Gentle Hearts, we know that helping families navigate care decisions takes more than one organization. It takes relationships, trust, and professionals who genuinely care about the people they serve.
A big thank you to Mission Healthcare for bringing everyone together and for recognizing the referral partners who are part of this community.
