Last month, Sun City Posse volunteers answered 6,638 calls for service, including 3,508 drive-bys and 2,327 home vacation watches. That brings our 2026 total to 61,887 calls so far this year!

Sun City Posse Shred-A-Thon | October 24, 2026

Protecting your personal information is an important part of protecting your peace of mind! This video captures the Sun City Posse’s Shred-A-Thon, held Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon at Posse Headquarters, 10861 W Sunland Drive, Sun City, Arizona.

Secure document destruction helps residents dispose of sensitive paperwork while reducing the risk of personal information falling into the wrong hands. This event offered our neighbors a practical way to protect their privacy and clear out confidential documents responsibly.

The Posse is proud to have a professional, well-trained Color Guard unit. This group of women and men are dedicated to serving as Color and Honor Guards in the most respectful and official manner.

They can be scheduled to serve the Community at events and funerals, Monday – Friday, on request when schedule permits. They have been privileged to present the colors at the Bell Center July 4th Celebrations, Memorial Day events, opening of Spring Training, military funerals, and many other occasions. Advanced notice is required.

In addition to Patrol, the Posse offers a variety of programs and services as a convenience to the community. These are important and vital services that represent the Posse’s ongoing commitment to Sun City. To learn more feel free to contact the Posse at 623-972-2555 during regular business hours Monday thru Friday.

Our community services include electronics recycling, secure document shredding, drug take-back events, collections of eyeglasses and cell phones for repurposing, and the respectful disposal of worn U.S. flags. The Posse also hosts educational seminars addressing scams and fraud, while seasonal school supply and toy drives give residents meaningful opportunities to support others.

These efforts complement programs such as Vacation Watch, Citizen Welfare Checks, Funeral Watch, Neighborhood Watch, and event parking assistance. As an independent, all-volunteer nonprofit organization supported by community donations, the Posse brings neighbors together to enhance safety, provide reassurance, and strengthen community connections.
