Happy Father’s Day from the Sun City West Foundation!

Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, mentors, and father figures who have helped shape our families, friendships, and community through their strength, kindness, wisdom, and support.

Today, we celebrate the grill masters, corny joke experts, fix-it pros, storytellers, sports fans, advice givers, and all-around community heroes who make life a little brighter (and usually a little funnier).

Thank you for the love, laughter, wisdom, and support you share with your families and our community every day.

We hope your day is filled with family, relaxation, good food, and maybe even control of the TV remote!

Need a ride to an appointment, the grocery store, lunch with friends, or your next community event?

The Ride Choice Program, in partnership with Valley Metro, helps eligible Sun City West residents get where they need to go with more flexibility, convenience, and independence.

Instead of planning your day around a neighbor or families, the Ride Choice Program allows participants to book rides through Ride Choice Dispatchers for rides on local transportation providers, including taxis, rideshares, and wheelchair-accessible services.

Why residents love Ride Choice:

- Flexibility: Schedule rides when you need them, including evenings and weekends.
- Affordability: Eligible participants receive a subsidy that helps reduce the cost of each trip.
- Accessibility: Wheelchair-accessible vehicles are available to help support mobility for all residents.
- Independence: Travel to destinations of your choice without relying on when a family member might be available.

Applying for Ride Choice is free and Valley Metro can provide free round-trip transportation to the Mobility Center for applicants residing in Maricopa County upon request.

Additional assistance is also available following each Find Your Ride Class through the Sun City West Foundation’s Find Your Ride Program, to help participants complete the ADA certification application used to determine Ride Choice eligibility. Please call the Find Your Ride Program helpline at 602-662-4260 Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. - noon with any questions.

For questions or assistance during the application process, please call Valley Metro at (602) 716-2100.
