Job Posting: Independent Golf Course Operator & Superintendent
Opportunity Overview
The Sullivan Elks Lodge is seeking an entrepreneurial Independent Operator and Superintendent to manage and run our golf course in Sullivan, IN.
The operational takeover will officially begin on 1/1/2027.

Core Responsibilities
Course & Equipment Maintenance
• Maintain all greens, fairways, tees, rough, cart paths and hazards across the course.
• Manage, winterize, and repair the course irrigation system.
• Utilize the facility's existing, owner-provided maintenance equipment fleet.
• Responsibility for all routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs of the equipment fleet.
• Source, purchase, or lease a fleet of golf carts
Business & Pro Shop Operations
• Staff and manage the pro shop.
• Market the course locally to maximize play and community engagement.
• Promote, sell, and manage annual golf course memberships.
• Hire, train, schedule, and pay all maintenance and clubhouse labor.
Required Qualifications
• Professional experience in golf course turf grass management is preferred.
• Strong business acumen with experience running an independent small business is preferred.
• Adequate initial working capital to cover early-season operating costs and golf cart fleet sourcing is advantageous.
• Valid Pesticide Applicator License or ability to obtain.

Compensation will be based on experience and business plan.
