July and begining of August put the AMBUCS ramp crew in Sullivan area and Bethany twice for three ramps totaling over 140ft in length. Guess we are caught up with ramp building for "Mobility and Independence" but check out the other individual future AMBUCS events posted here seperately. There is the Richard Purdeu Memorial Scramble on Aug. 27th at Moweaqua Golf Course.. Events in September are the HSHS Try-athlon (12th) in Effingham and the "Big Jim" Fishing Derby at Woods Lake on the 26th for kids 12 and under. Sullivan AMBUCS is busy in central Illinois.

2026 ramps in review continues. Month of May kept Sullivan AMBUCS busy with a cookout at Kirby's, two amtryke presentations and a Therapy student scholarship award. Yet one ramp was built in Lovington and two older ramps were removed at the family's request in Sullivan. June began with the annual fund raising golf tournament (Thanks again golf sponsors) and the ramp crew built two two more ramps and removed one before the July 4th summer break from building ramps. The ramp crew has been quietly busy on the mission to inspire mobility and independence for individuls needing access ramps at their homes.This ramp building year started at a weather break in March with one ramp in Windsor and then four April ramps in Bethany and Sullivan. "Thank You" Fast Stop of Sullivan from AMBUCS. Fast Stop just donated again to the local community with their Spirit Pump Program. This time it was by way of AMBUCS. Manager Cheryl Coddington and Assistant Manager Amy Gullion of Sullivan Fast Stop presented secretary Jim Wandmacher of AMBUCS with a Spirit Pump donation check for $432.75 for the months of January/February 2026. Locally owned and operated Fast Stop supporting local organizations. Guess we could support them. Look for and use the "Spirit Pump"
