We are planning our next movie in the park!

Students got to vote at First Knight at school, and now we're giving any kids who didn't get a chance to come out the the farmers market tomorrow 5-7 to make their choice! We have 4 movies to choose from, come see our table to cast your vote!

Winner will be announced with date of movie on Friday!

2 weeks of summer left! Still plenty of fun to be had while preparing for a great school year. Here are a few tips to help your kids get ready:

⏰ Start school year bed time: those late summer nights gaming won't hit so hard if they have some time to acclimate to an earlier bedtime before it's go- time. 8-10 hours/night is recommended for kids to get the rest they need.

🥪pack their school lunch and make sure they're able to open their lunch box and get their food out on their own. Consider alternatives if they aren't able to open items on their own

📋 review how they are expected to act in the classroom and on the bus, as it may be students first time being bus riders!

It's our final day of fun for our Park Rec Week 2026!! We have had a great time.
Kids will play games, make their own squishy toy, and enjoy walking tacos for lunch!
Joe's sno shack will also be there with their shaved ice for the kids!

Remember water and sunscreen! See you soon for some Friday fun!!

THURSDAY! We are walking to a couple places in the community for short visits. Please have your child wear comfy shoes they can walk in, bring a water bottle, and wear sunscreen and some sunglasses or hat.. great day to wear the bucket hats they got Tuesday!

Lunch will be spaghetti with meat sauce, garlic bread, salad with ranch or French dressing! See you soon!

We are in need of another adult helper tomorrow (Thursday) for our community day when we go on a walk. We need someone to walk with and supervise a small group. If you are able to volunteer your time tomorrow, please let us know ASAP!!

🛝💦A park rec favorite.... water day!! Kids can wear swim suits or clothes, please bring a towel and today is the day to remember sunscreen!! We have some and will apply as we can as well. We have koolaid and ice water, but please pack a water for your child as it will be a HOT DAY! 😎

Lunch is provided by our local Casey's General store! We are so thankful for them and their continued generosity towards the kids in our community! Chips & popsicles will also be available . 🍕

Our annual egg hunt was a great time! Huge thanks to Gene at our local DG for the hot dogs and buns, our "grill guys" cooking them up for us, Allison West for the cutest cookies, Magoody's coffee truck with the sweet drinks, and LGS for letting us have the hunt there! Thanks as well goes to Little Miss ALAH Sydney Cherry for coming, Junior Miss ALAH Brianda Calvillo for announcing our basket winners, Jordan for providing some handmade special Easter eggs, and Jaydon for playing Easter bunny for us for the day! Last but certainly not least, THANK YOU to the village of Lovington who make these events possible and to all those who bring their families out to enjoy them with us!
