What a day! ⭐

We had an incredible showing at our home meet today. Out of 31 STAR swimmers signed up, 29 swimmers made it to the meet and represented our club with tremendous effort, energy, and team spirit!

As a team, STAR achieved some amazing results:

🏊‍♂️ 216 total seconds dropped
⭐ 55 new personal best times
✅ 19 new legal events

That averages out to more than 7 seconds dropped per swimmer and almost 3 personal best times or new legal events per swimmer. What an incredible step forward for our team!

We also had two new STAR team records set today:

🏆 Ellie K. — New 8 & Under Female Freestyle record: 9:43.69
🏆 Timmy Z. — New 8 & Under Male 100 Breaststroke record: 2:37.14

Because of these tremendous achievements, we will be handing out 251 STAR tokens to our swimmers! Our swimmers truly made STAR shine today. 🌟

A huge thank you to all of our amazing families who helped make this meet possible. Hosting a meet takes a lot of teamwork, and we could not have done it without the support of our volunteers, officials, timers, marshals, concessions help, setup and cleanup crew, and every family who stepped in to help. Thank you for helping us continue building this STAR community together. 💜

STAR Spring Splash is this Saturday!!!!! We are so incredibly excited to host all of you; it's going to be a great meet!

Thanks everyone who has helped fill some of our slots for this weekends home meet! We are still in need of some afternoon help.

We need 2 male meet Marshalls and 8 timers still, we are actually predicting that the meet should be ending around 3:00 pm instead of 5:00, so these shifts would from around 1230-3 ish. Please reach out ASAP if you are able to help us.

STAR - Stoughton Aqua Racers Swim Team is looking for help at our home meet next weekend 5/30, from 12:30-5. We need help with our afternoon session, our biggest need is timers! No swim experience needed, you just need to be 12 years old.
We are also looking for 2 female and 2 male that would be willing to work as Meet Marshall’s- there is a brief free training through USA Swimming that you would need to complete.

Timers: Operate stopwatches and/or plungers to record swimmers’ times during each race. Training provided on site - no experience needed but must be at least 12 years of age.

Meet Marshall: (Two male and two female per session) Supervise the deck and warm-up areas to ensure safety and proper behavior. Direct swimmers and spectators as needed. Preferred but not required brief Meet Marshall training through USA Swimming if not previously completed.

It's Official! The Norwegian Parade is ON! The Stoughton WI Chamber of Commerce, Stoughton, Wisconsin Police Department, and Stoughton Fire Department consulted with the National Weather Service this morning. The potential severe weather threat is forecast from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Based on this information and the following details, the parade WILL move forward as planned at 1:30PM.
