The Stonington Community Center, fondly known as the COMO, was founded in 1945, as a nonprofit with the goals of strengthening families and community. The COMO’s 16-acre campus includes a NAEYC-accredited preschool, Thrift Shop, four decoTurf tennis courts, art and pottery studio, four paddle tennis courts and warming hut, athletic fields and makerspace. The COMO provides a wide range of education

al, enrichment, athletic, family, and community partnership programs throughout the year to residents in Stonington, Mystic, Pawcatuck, Westerly and the surrounding areas. Located at 28 Cutler Street, the COMO has become an irreplaceable part of the Stonington community, serving countless children and families regardless of financial need.

Enjoy an evening on the COMO Tennis Courts on Wednesday, August 12, with a fun-filled mixer of tennis and racquet members that will include margaritas, snacks, and play. Members will compete in doubles play matches and will rotate partners each match throughout the night.

All tennis and racquet members (21+) are invited to participate, but only 24 spots are available. This is a FREE event, and we hope to see you there. Spectators are welcome - we want to get all of our members out to socialize and see some great matches! 24 Spots Available. Pre-registration required.

⚽⚽⚽MLS GO is Major League Soccer's recreational youth soccer program, with the mission of creating an inclusive and elevated experience for all participants. 😊 This program runs on the COMO fields September 9 - November 14 with girls practices on Mondays, boys practices on Wednesdays, and games on Saturdays.

Fun and affordability are at the heart of MLS GO with a program that has been designed to increase participation and enable more kids to play soccer. MLS GO is offered to all children, ages 7-9, regardless of skill level. Learn more and sign up at bit.ly/mlscomo

PLAY at the COMO! ✨⚽If your kids like watching FIFA, they'll love getting out on the field. We've partnered with MLS Go, Major League Soccer's youth rec program to bring you U9 boys and girls soccer leagues, open to players of all skill levels! 🥅 For soccer players ages 3 to 2nd grade, join Little Kickers and Rookies soccer leagues with Coach TJ! Soccer is such a fun and fundamental sport for kids to learn teamwork, communication, resilience and more. 🙌

😄New this upcoming season, youth dodgeball and pickleball — plus, 3-on-3 basketball! 🏀Back again to take the championship are COMO travel basketball leagues. And don't forget archery with Black Bear Sports, orange & red ball tennis, and karate classes will be in full swing! 🎪🎪🎪Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who made the 74th Annual COMO Village Fair such a fun-filled celebration of community! ✨From the obstacle course to Flavors of the Fair pie tent to all the wonderful artisan and food vendors to the America250 activities — it was an absolute blast. We had perfect weather and such a great turn-out. Your support of the fair helps fund the year-round community center programming the COMO offers. We'll see you the first Saturday in August next summer! 🌞
