🐾 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: The Gentle Spirit of Maximus 🐾

Some dogs capture your heart with their high energy, but Maximus wins you over with his pure, peaceful soul. ☀️

Our handsome senior boy is the definition of sweet and easygoing. Even with the challenges of Degenerative Myelopathy (DM), he meets each day with a calm, patient heart. Maximus radiates a gentle presence that inspires everyone around him to find joy in the simple moments.

To help him navigate his changing body, his wonderful foster dad built a custom ramp. This makes it easier for Maximus to access the yard, sniff the fresh air, and soak up the sunshine. His quiet strength serves as a beautiful reminder of why we rescue.

Our September Senior Challenge is dedicated to keeping our senior and special-needs pups comfortable and thriving. Every gift directly funds the daily medicine, therapies, and veterinary care they need.

Scooby checking in! 🐾

I wanted to let everyone know that my surgery went really well! My injury was pretty bad and the surgery was quite invasive, but my surgeon did an amazing job, and I’m officially on the road to recovery.

Now comes the hard part: rebuilding my muscle and retraining my ligaments and tendons to help me use my leg properly again. I’m still taking pain medication and I’m definitely a little uncomfortable, but through it all, I’m still my sweet, happy self and keeping a pretty great attitude.

I’ve also started my weekly physical therapy. Hopefully, it will help me continue building strength, improving my mobility, and getting closer to my ultimate goal of being able to run, play, and zoom around like the sweet young Boxer I am!

I also want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated toward my surgery, medical care, and recovery. Your generosity has helped make it possible for me to get the care I need, and I’m so grateful for every donation, prayer, message, and kind thought.

I have a long road ahead, but I’m taking it one day and one little step at a time. Please keep cheering me on!

Hank had a big day today! 💙 He officially got neutered and is one step closer to finding his forever home. 🐾

🐾 Looking for foster homes for pairs! Double the dogs, double the joy, double the love. ❤️

We’re asked frequently to help bonded pairs, but unfortunately, we often don’t have foster homes available that can take two dogs.

The adorable young duo featured in this video—a male and female pair—are currently looking for a foster home together.

They’re accustomed to living outside, so we’re hoping to find them a foster home with an appropriate fenced-in yard to help make their transition to indoor life as easy as possible.
If you have room in your heart (and yard!) for two, please consider fostering this sweet pair.

🎉 WHO’S READY FOR SOME VERY GOOD NEWS?! 🎉

We got Hank’s biopsy and other test results back, and… HE DOES NOT HAVE CANCER!!! The tumor on his foot is benign, which means it is NOT cancerous! 🙌 The spot is also dealing with an infection, so Hank is on antibiotics to help clear that up and get the swelling down. We’re so relieved to have some good news and see this handsome boy on the road to healing!
Hank’s next steps are to heal up, get neutered, and then find his forever family! We are so happy for this sweet boy! ❤️🐾

💙 Scooby is out of surgery! 💙

We’re so happy to share that Scooby’s surgery went well, and he is officially back home recovering! 🐾

He has some recovery and physical therapy ahead of him, but we’re so excited to see him on his way to a happy, active future.

💙 Today is Scooby’s surgery day. 💙

Today is a huge step toward the future Scooby deserves. While he has a long road to recovery ahead, we’re hopeful this surgery will give him the chance to run, play, and live the happy, active life every young Boxer deserves.
