Georgia's community tree network is the best! Local government professionals and community tree advocates came together in Tifton yesterday to network and learn from each other at the "Leveraging Trees to Meet Community Needs" workshop. Together, we learned new skills, strategies, and how other communities are overcoming obstacles and growing their forestry programs. Thanks to Keep Georgia Beautiful and the City of Tifton for working with us to host this event, and to our speakers and panelists for sharing their knowledge and experience!

🌳🌳🌳Arbor Day is a time to take action to grow better communities for our future selves. Trees in our backyards, on our streets, and shading our parks make towns livable and resilient. They remove pollution from the air, provide green infrastructure, increase public health, and make our public spaces more usable by providing shade.

At the Georgia Tree Council, we are honored to be a connecting point for tree councils, arborists, city planners, downtown development professionals, community foresters, non-profits, and advocates who protect, maintain, and grow community forests across the state. 💚💚💚
