🌟 Meet Obi-Wan Kenobi (Obi)! 🌟
A little Jedi with a big heart and a second chance at life. 🐾✨

Obi-Wan Kenobi, affectionately known as Obi, has quite the story. When his previous owners moved out of their apartment, they left him behind to fend for himself. For nearly a year, kind-hearted neighbors looked after him, making sure he had food and someone watching out for him. When his primary caretaker had to move and couldn’t take him along, she reached out to us to give Obi the chance he truly deserved—a forever home.

And just like a true Jedi, Obi has proven that even after being left behind, you can still choose the path of kindness. ❤️

Obi is a wonderful, easygoing boy who gets along well with other cats. He’s independent and tends to keep to himself, but he enjoys companionship and has a sweet, gentle nature. He isn’t the type to demand your attention every second—instead, he quietly observes his surroundings like a wise little Jedi Master and lets you know when he’s ready for some love.

One of Obi’s most charming features is his adorable little bobbed tail, and he has the cutest, most expressive meow. If Obi wants your attention—or it’s time for dinner—he isn’t shy about using the Force… or, more accurately, his voice! 😂

When Obi came into rescue, he had already been neutered. He also had a harmless keratin growth on his shoulder that we had surgically removed, so he’s now feeling and looking his best.

After everything he’s been through, Obi is ready for what he has always deserved: a loving family that will cherish him for the rest of his life. He’s looking for a safe, indoor-only home where he’ll never again have to wonder where his next meal or kind hand will come from.

Meet Jammie Jammie is a beautiful, expressive girl with classic Siamese traits and a lot of personality. She was adopted and lived successfully in a home with another cat for three years, doing wonderfully—until an unexpected change shifted the dynamic. After the resident cat returned from a hospital stay, Jammie began bullying her despite many thoughtful attempts to help them readjust. With heavy hearts, her family made the loving decision to return Jammie so she could find a home better suited to her needs and their elderly cat could find peace once more.

Since her return she has cohabitated with other kitties with minima fuss, Jammie may do best as the only pet in her home, where she doesnt have to share attention or navigate stressful social changes.

Jammie may be shy at first, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into a very loving, affectionate companion. She adores her people and would much rather spend time with her humans than with other cats. True to her Siamese nature, shes a little talker — especially when food is involved — and shes never shy about reminding you when its mealtime!

She loves to play with teaser toys, enjoys a good snack (or two), and will happily soak up affection once trust is built.

Jammie isnt a problem cat — she just knows what she needs. If youre looking for a loyal, chatty, people-focused companion and can offer her a calm, pet-free home, Jammie may be your perfect match.

Meet Froyo! 🧡 Froyo was being given away on the Nextdoor app, when one of our volunteers reached out to see if they needed help spaying the mama cat. They did need help as she had gotten pregnant just before her last appointment. So we offered to fix mom and take the last kitten to find a home! Froyo is a delightful young man who is sooo very affectionate and starved for attention. He loves being loved and spending time curled up in your lap and playing and romping.

Froyo is ready for his life to begin! Can you offer him a loving indoor only home?

Happy Tails, Scoop! ❤️🐾

Some cats come into our lives exactly when we need them most, and we truly believe that’s what happened with Scoop.

This sweet girl is pure love. She lives for cuddles, leans into every pet, flops against her people, and just wants to be close to the ones she loves.

When her adopter wrote this in her application, we knew it was the perfect match:

“It’s been over 10 years since my last cat passed away…. advised me to allow another pet into my life again. Scoop’s description is exactly what I’m looking for—where we can be two girls who are just happy in life if we can be together.”

Today, Scoop is exactly where she belongs, showering her new mom with the love and comfort she’s always had to give. Sometimes the right cat finds the right person at exactly the right time.

💐This Mother’s Day, we’re thinking about the mothers no one celebrates enough — the mama cats living on our streets.

While many of us spend today surrounded by comfort and family, community cats are out there fighting to survive while caring for their babies. They search endlessly for food, hide their kittens from danger, dodge traffic, harsh weather, predators, and sometimes even cruel people. Despite it all, they protect, nurture, and love their babies the best they can.

But no mother cat should have to suffer through litter after litter just to survive.

That’s why spaying and neutering matters so deeply. It prevents suffering, reduces homelessness, improves the health and safety of both pets and community cats, and creates a more compassionate community for everyone. Every surgery means fewer kittens born into hardship and fewer animals struggling to survive outdoors.

At Second Chance Kitty, we work tirelessly to help end the cycle of overpopulation through rescue, education, and spay/neuter efforts in our community. Every cat fixed is a step toward fewer homeless animals and healthier, happier lives for cats everywhere.
