This November, we're celebrating our military families!

In honor of Veterans and Military Families Month, Women Giving Back is opening our Boutique for a special FREE Military Family Shopping Day on Friday, November 6th, from 10 AM–1 PM!

Military families are invited to shop for women's and children's clothing, shoes, and accessories at no cost. No referral is needed - just bring a valid Military ID to shop!

This National First Responders Day, WGB is proud to Shop with Valor!

On October 27th & 28th, we’re opening our Boutique to active Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement personnel for a special shopping event with women's and children’s clothing available at no cost. No registration is required - but the first responder must be present for the family to shop and provide an agency/department ID at check-in.

Our September volunteers really came through when we needed them! 🍂💜

As summer wrapped up and we headed into an increasingly busy fall season, there was PLENTY to do around WGB. From sorting and hanging donations to stocking shelves and keeping the Boutique and Diaper Pantry moving, our volunteer groups helped us keep up every step of the way.

Women Giving Back distributes approximately 34,000 diapers each month, helping families meet a critical basic need.

As National Diaper Need Awareness Week comes to a close, it's important to remember that diaper need doesn't end when the week does. 1 in 2 U.S. families with young children struggle to afford enough diapers, creating challenges that impact health, well-being, and stability.

We're grateful for our partnership with the Greater DC Diaper Bank and the support of our community, which helps us provide this essential resource to thousands of families each month.

Diaper donations are always welcome, and our greatest current need is size 6 diapers.

Together, we can help ensure every child has access to the essentials they deserve.

National Diaper Need Awareness Week (Sept. 14-20) reminds us that 1 in 2 U.S. families with young children struggle to afford enough diapers, making a basic necessity out of reach for many.

At Women Giving Back, we are proud to help meet this critical need. While many know us for providing quality clothing, we actually distribute more diapers than clothing each month, helping families across our community access these essential items.

A special thank you to Greater DC Diaper Bank whose partnership provides an average of 15,000 diapers each month to support our mission. Together, we distribute approximately 34,000 diapers monthly, helping ensure children stay healthy and caregivers can focus on building stability for their families.

As we recognize Diaper Need Awareness Week, we also invite our community to help. Diaper donations are always welcome, and our greatest current need is size 6 diapers.

We're so grateful for our partnership with LAWS Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Services and for the opportunity to connect women and families with free, confidential resources and support. ❤️ Together, we're helping remove barriers to safety, healing, and hope in our community.

On National Clothing Insecurity Awareness Day, we’re shining a light on something we see every day: not having clean, appropriate clothing can affect everything from school and employment to confidence and dignity.

More than 4,100 children each year receive free clothing through the WGB Boutique. Every outfit chosen means one less expense for a family already balancing necessities like housing, food, transportation, and healthcare.

Whether you support WGB with quality clothing, a financial gift, or simply by spreading the word, you’re helping make sure families in our community have access to this basic need.

Today, we honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the courage of those who responded, and the countless families and communities forever changed by that day.

May we also remember the compassion, courage, and willingness to help one another that emerged in the days that followed.
