Women Giving Back proudly honors Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, unity, and the resilience of the Black community.

We are proud to serve women and children from all backgrounds and to be part of a community that works to ensure everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

Women Giving Back will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of the holiday.

The need in our community has not slowed.

What has changed is our ability to respond.

Through the Opening Doors Campaign, Women Giving Back is expanding capacity to serve more families, more effectively, and with greater connection to resources.

This is about meeting need with readiness.

And continuing to build what is required to sustain it.

There is still an opportunity to lead at this stage and help shape what comes next.

Diapers are one of the most essential - and most expensive - needs for families with young children. They are not covered adequately by most assistance programs, yet they are required not only at home, but also for children to attend daycare so parents can go to work and support their families.

In 2025, Women Giving Back’s Diaper Pantry distributed diapers to more than 530 infants every month, and the need continues to grow.

We’re grateful to our Board President for helping bring attention to this issue during her recent Fox 5 DC interview and for sharing the importance of treating every family we serve with dignity and care.

Women Giving Back is always in need of diaper donations - sizes Newborn through Size 6. We also continue to need children’s clothing and shoes to help support local families in crisis.

The Opening Doors Campaign is about more than a building.

It's about creating opportunities for women and families to build confidence, achieve stability, and move toward self-sufficiency.

Through expanded resources, community partnerships, and the Empowerment Hub, Women Giving Back is helping open doors to brighter futures every day.

Thank you to the donors, volunteers, partners, and supporters making this vision possible.

The ribbon has been cut.
The doors are open.

And we are still building.

While the space is complete, the full vision of the Opening Doors Campaign continues to grow.

This next phase is about expanding impact, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring long-term support for the families we serve.

Campaigns are not finished at launch.
They move forward through continued commitment.

There is still an opportunity to be part of what comes next.

Follow along, share this work, and help us continue opening doors: https://womengivingback.org/openingdoors/.

Confidence can change everything.

For many individuals entering or re-entering the workforce, preparing for an interview or starting a new job is about more than clothing.

It is about dignity.
It is about feeling prepared.
It is about believing in yourself again.

That is why the Career Closet being developed through the Opening Doors Campaign matters.

The Career Closet will help provide individuals with access to professional attire and resources that support workforce readiness, confidence, and opportunity.

Because when communities invest in people holistically, the impact reaches far beyond immediate need.

The continued growth of the Empowerment Hub reflects something powerful:
What becomes possible when organizations, donors, volunteers, and community partners come together around a shared vision of long-term opportunity and sustainability.

This is about more than a space.

It is about creating pathways forward.

We’re grateful to Equinix, Inc. for their support of Women Giving Back and the families we serve. Last year, WGB was selected as a recipient of a WeGive grant, an employee-driven initiative focused on advancing digital inclusion in the community. The program supports organizations working to expand access, opportunity, and connection for those who need it most.

Equinix recently announced its U.S. Community Principles, highlighting commitments to workforce development, increased sustainability, infrastructure investment, and expanding access to technology

What a day! 🎉Our Kids Summer Extravaganza was an absolute blast this past weekend. While parents shopped in the Boutique, kids enjoyed a morning filled with Kona Ice, balloon animals, co****le, and visits from some incredible Star Wars characters courtesy of the TSJ Foundation - Theresa Sondra Jacobs Foundation. Serving 171 women and over 400 children, this event continues to be one of our favorites.

We were also grateful to welcome several community partners who shared resources and services with families, helping ensure everyone left not only with clothing and essentials, but also with valuable information and support. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success!

We’re so grateful to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office for supporting local families through a recent diaper drive as part of a Leadership Loudoun initiative 💜

Last year alone, Women Giving Back served more than 530 infants every month through our Diaper Pantry - and the need continues to grow. Beyond collecting diapers, these wonderful officers also took time to help unload donations and tour our facility.

Thank you for showing what strong community partnership looks like and for helping us support families with dignity and care!

One of the most encouraging things to witness through the continued expansion of Women Giving Back has been watching a community come together around a shared belief:

Stability, dignity, and opportunity should be accessible to everyone.

What is being built through the Empowerment Hub is more than additional space.

It represents a collaborative, one-of-its-kind approach in Loudoun County focused on expanding access to resources, strengthening nonprofit partnerships, and creating pathways toward long-term individual and family sustainability.

Organizations, donors, volunteers, and community partners are helping create something larger than any one program alone:
A connected support system designed to meet people where they are while helping move them forward.

The future of community impact will not be built in silos.

It will be built through collaboration, shared vision, and long-term investment in people and communities.

Momentum continues to build, and it is inspiring to see so many leaders and partners helping shape what comes next.
