We love our CCC community partners!

The Love Basket, Dublin’s twice a month food bank, needs help to move to a new home and can use assistance to make that happen.

Since October 2007, the food bank has operated out of the Quik-Lok storage unit office at 207 E. Elm. It is stocked thanks in part to the Tarrant Area Food Bank and the Erath County United Way which funds day-to-day operations.

Love Basket is open the first and third Friday of every month 8-11 a.m. and 5-7 p.m. The Sissoms reported serving between 120 and 130 families per week recently.

“[Quik-Lok Owner] Pam Crabtree has been wonderful,” said Love Basket founding volunteers Ray and Barbara Sissom. Crabtree was also instrumental in founding the food pantry and has provided the space rent free, allowing the Sissoms to remodel and re-arrange the space as needed.

It has been housed there since 2007 but there was an opportunity to sell Quik-Lok has resulted in Love Basket needing to move. Fortunately, Dublin Family Worship has donated space for a new building and Love Basket Board VP Charlie Bradberry is designing plans.

They need funds to make it happen though. Click the link to read the story for free: https://www.dublincitizen.com/news/pantry-seeks-funds-new-home

JUST IN CASE... HERE'S A LIST OF LOCAL FOOD PANTRY OPTIONS -- We know things may be difficult for some families right now, with school out for the summer and kids home all day, so we've compiled a list of local food pantries that are open to help those needing a little nourishment to get their family through the week. Feel free to share with anyone you know who needs a little help!

And if you know of a local pantry we've missed or something that's changed on the list we have, please let us know so we can have the most up-to-date info possible.
