Downtown Rotary Club of Statesboro Rotary Club of Downtown Statesboro, Georgia. Meeting the 2nd & 4th Thursdays of each month. The Rotary motto is Service Above Self.

The main objective of Rotary is service in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world. Rotarians develop community service projects that address many of today's most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence. Rotarians also support programs for youth, educational opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers, and other professionals, and vocational and career development.

The Georgia Southern SAAC and Athletic Department celebrated a triumphant banquet, honoring outstanding achievements that showcase the power of teamwork and dedication. Notably, the Track and Field/Cross Country team earned the inaugural Rotary SAAC Service Leadership award for racking up 42 volunteer hours in under two months, setting a stellar example of community spirit. This impressive feat is amplified by the collective efforts of the team, which, combined with the volleyball, softball, soccer, and rifle teams, contributed 142 volunteer hours to the Statesboro Food Bank, demonstrating the impact of unity and purpose. Furthermore, the Women's and Men's Basketball teams were recognized with the first GATA Excellence Awards for their remarkable progress in both athletic and academic pursuits, embodying the true spirit of excellence.
