Staten Island Hope Animal Rescue We put a emphasis on promoting TNR in the community to eliminate unwanted animals being euthanized.

Tax Exempt Non Profit Rescue group consisting of foster homes that house our pets prior to adoption and dedicated volunteers that care for these animals until permanent homes are found.

We don't even have the words to express to everyone how much we appreciate your help.
This week, in the middle of one of the scariest financial stretches we've ever faced, you wrapped your arms around this rescue. Together we've raised **almost $2,200toward our $5,000 goal** โ€” two thousand dollars of pure love, and every cent goes straight to these cats.

Please know what that means to us. Every donation told us we're not in this alone. Every share told us you believe in this mission as much as we do. You have carried us through the darkest week we've had, and we will never forget it.

Please help us thank Lena of Westerleigh, Staten Island โ€” who is just seven years old and has one of the biggest hearts we've ever seen.

Lena set up her very own milk and cookies stand. She baked ALL of the cookies and muffins herself.
And when she was done, she took the $250 she raised and donated it to Staten Island Hope Animal Rescue.

Lena, we want you to know what your kindness means. Because of you, cats in our care will get food, medicine, and the second chances they deserve. You did a truly wonderful job, and we are so proud of you. ๐Ÿพ

Adopter or Foster needed
For Jax & Venus โ€” a bonded pair of 4 1/2-year-old siblings who desperately need out of their current situation .๏ฟผ

Their owner moved out of his apartment in his family's home and left Jax & Venus behind in a bedroom. His family is taking care of them, but can't give them the full attention they need โ€” they're getting the bare essentials, food and water. They are in urgent need of an **adopter or a foster**.

๐Ÿค Jax is a handsome tuxedo boy โ€” friendly and curious.
๐Ÿ–ค Venus is a gorgeous black girl โ€” sweet as they come, and a true shoulder cat. She loves riding on your shoulder.

They adore each other and are always cuddling when they're not playing or wrestling. They can be shy in a new environment and may hide at first, so they need someone who will give them time, love, and patience to open up.

Milo was adopted by Hope in Staten Island, New York, and he is so loved by his new mom! ๐Ÿ’›

He now has a calico sister named Lucy. The two cats were introduced slowly and properly, and now they are the best of friends. ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿฑ we couldnโ€™t be happier for Milo now he has a playmate.

Milo spends his days playing with Lucy, running around and exploring his new home, and soaking up big hugs and kisses from his mom. He is one happy boy!

We wish Hope, Milo, and Lucy a very long and happy life together. โค๏ธ

Meet Sandy โค๏ธ๐Ÿพ
Sandy has come such a long way and is finally ready for her forever home!
This sweet 7โ€“8-year-old Calico was found sick, extremely thin, and sleeping in an abandoned car. After veterinary care, dental surgery, and lots of love from her foster family, Sandy is now healthy, happy, and thriving! ๐Ÿฅฐ

Sandy is affectionate, loves people, enjoys sunny spots and bird-watching, and still has a playful side. Her favorite toy is a wand toy ๏ฟผ.
Sandy enjoys being Pet and loves attention .
๏ฟผSheโ€™s looking for a family who will cherish her for the rest of her life. โค๏ธ

๐Ÿงก Please donโ€™t let FIV scare you away from Sandy! FIV is NOT a death sentence. FIV-positive cats can live long, happy, healthy lives with proper care.

And importantly, an FIV-positive cat can live with an FIV-negative cat when the cats get along well. FIV is primarily spread through deep bite wounds, and peaceful cohabitation between friendly cats is generally considered very low risk.

These amazing 14 week-old siblings are ready for their forever home โ€” together!

๐Ÿ’• Bugsy โ€“ Female

Dipper and Bugsy are a bonded pair, which means they're happiest side by side and need to be adopted together. They're being fostered in a home with other cats โ€” and they get along beautifully with all of them. These two lovebugs fit right in wherever they go: playing, purring, and snuggling up with their feline foster siblings like they've always belonged. ๐Ÿ˜ป

They're the whole package: confident, affectionate little purr machines who live for lap time, head boops, and curling up with their people. When they're not cuddling, they're doing what kittens do best โ€” chasing toys, wrestling, and getting into a little mischief before crashing into a cozy nap together. โค๏ธ

Both kittens are up-to-date on their vaccinations and have tested negative for FIV/FeLV. They will be spayed/neutered by the Rescue when they are age-appropriate.

๐Ÿพ Meet Darling โ€” A Sweet Boy Looking for His Forever Home! ๐Ÿพ
Darlingโ€™s story started outdoors, where this very skinny boy was found desperately trying to jump into a car. ๐Ÿ’” We knew he needed help, so we brought him to safety and got him the care he deserved.

Darling had no microchip and had clearly been on his own for some time. He was taken to the vet, where he received a full medical exam, vaccinations, neutering, and a microchip. He is estimated 2ยฝ -3 years old.

Today, Darling is safe and happy in a foster home โ€” and his foster family says he is just the sweetest boy! โค๏ธ

He absolutely loves attention, being petted, and even being picked up. He loves to play and has such a loving, affectionate personality. He truly lives up to his nameโ€ฆ he is a Darling! ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฑ

Because we don't know Darlingโ€™s history with other cats, we donโ€™t know yet how he would do with a feline companion. We recommend a slow and proper introduction if he is going into a home with another cat.

Remember Socks? This sweet boy was found as a kitten in a colony. He was brought inside and taken to the vet to be ear-tipped for TNR โ€” but the veterinarian saw what we all see: Socks wasn't feral. He deserved a chance. So they called us, and Staten Island Hope took him into our care. ๐Ÿ’›

We are overjoyed to share that Socks has been adopted by Alicia of Manhattan, NY โ€” and his new name is Sasha! ๐Ÿพ

When Sasha first arrived home, he hid under the bed for a couple of weeks. But Alicia gave him exactly what he needed: patience, time, and love.

And look at him now โ€” Sasha is thriving! He's enjoying being pet, exploring his home, and loving playtime with his new mom. To see this shy boy come out of his shell and feel safe and comfortable... our hearts are so full. โค๏ธ
