The Weiss family recently chose a meaningful way to honor the legacy of their father, Dr. Stuart R. Weiss — an esteemed endocrinologist and researcher — by making a generous gift to APDA through their Donor Advised Fund (DAF).

In partnership with the family, APDA has established the Stuart R. Weiss Research Grant, a lasting tribute that will help propel early‑career scientists who are dedicating their futures to Parkinson’s research.

We are deeply grateful for the Weiss family’s generosity and for the impact this gift will have on the PD community for years to come.

It’s hard to put into words just how meaningful our 2026 APDA Iowa Annual Conference was.
The connections.
The education.
The encouragement.
The sense of community.
Our theme this year was "Connected in Community. Strengthened by Support.", and these photos reflect exactly that. From the conversations and shared experiences to the learning and laughter, this day reminded us of the power of coming together.
Thank you to everyone who attended! Your strength, resilience, and support of one another inspires us every day and gives purpose to our mission and the work we do.
A special thank you to our speakers, vendors, sponsors, and Lutheran Church of Hope for opening your doors and welcoming us so graciously.
Together, we are making a difference in the lives of those impacted by PD.
We are already looking forward to seeing you next year!
