We’re thrilled to feature ceramic artist Ken Sedberry at this year’s Craft Invitational!

Working from his studio along North Carolina’s Toe River, Ken creates richly colored wood-fired pottery using locally sourced clay and porcelain slip that he processes himself. Each firing requires days of constant attention, with temperatures reaching nearly 2,300 degrees. The results are surfaces alive with depth, movement, and color inspired by the natural world.

A longtime master of wood firing, Ken combines traditional techniques with a spirit of experimentation, creating work that is both deeply rooted and strikingly unique.

Meet Ken and explore his work at the Starworks Craft Invitational on June 13 from 9AM–4PM. Browse exceptional handmade craft from artists across the Southeast, watch live demonstrations, enjoy local food trucks, and spend the day surrounded by creativity.

Join us for a special Preview Reception on June 12 from 6–8 PM for an early look at this year’s featured artists and their work.

Meet Angela Eastman of .studio, one of the featured artists at the 2026 Starworks Craft Invitational!

Based in Hillsborough, NC, Angela is a basketweaver, metalworker, sculptor, and educator whose work is deeply rooted in material exploration, craft history, and connection to place. Her practice also extends into sculpture and installation, where she combines metal, fibers, and found objects to explore the relationship between industrial and natural material cultures.

Angela holds an MFA in Sculpture from Cranbrook Academy of Art and has completed residencies at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, MASS MoCA, and the John C. Campbell Folk School.
