Attack Poverty We exist to empower people to attack poverty in their life and community by strengthening under-resourced communities.

We love bringing together communities of resource with communities of need. Our Friends Inititatives are long-term partnerships with local churches, residents and stakeholders who are committed to community transformation. Our initiatives include: clean water-projects, mentoring & tutoring, literacy, GED completion, soft-skills job training and home repair.

This summer brought a lot of change for Elena. While grieving the loss of her grandmother, she kept taking steps toward stability for herself and her two children. She moved her family into a safe new home, enrolled both children in early education, and stayed consistently engaged along the way.

100% attendance. Consistent follow-through. Sometimes, flourishing looks like having a safe place to call home, showing up again tomorrow, and continuing forward even when life is heavy.🤍

Families come in carrying a lot, then slowly settle in, share a meal, meet someone new, and stay a little longer because they feel welcome. Kids are fed, older adults are cared for, and small conversations begin turning into real community.

That kind of belonging matters. It reminds people that they are seen, supported, and surrounded by others who care.

Creative Hands gave participants a place to create, reflect, and talk honestly about faith, purpose, and what they are carrying.

This summer, enrollment reached 133% of our goal, with 82% attendance throughout the program. Those numbers tell us something important: people want spaces where creativity and meaningful connection can grow together.

Art became a doorway to conversation, confidence, and deeper reflection, and we want to keep creating opportunities like this in Northside.

Fresh food can give families one less thing to worry about and create another point of connection to the community around them.

Through Brighter Bites, we served 143 individuals across five distribution days, with 100 bags of fresh produce shared each week at Northside. We are especially grateful for Lindale Community, Ecclesia Staff, Nazareth Church, and Insperity for showing up and helping make every distribution possible.

This is what meeting basic needs can look like when it is rooted in relationship and long-term support.

Some of the best signs of growth show up in the way kids begin to care for other people. At the end of camp, siblings Azalea, Serenity, and Max surprised their counselor with gifts they had chosen themselves and told her, “You taught us so much this summer. We are called to love.” 💙

Camp gives students space to learn, build friendships, grow in confidence, and put their faith into practice in ways that feel real to them.
