What a great end to a scouting year! Stay tuned for our summer activities.

Remember new rank begins June 1 (let your den leader know if you need an extension) and you can start earning the summertime fun adventure by attending events from now until school starts in the fall.

Webelos Den 8 earned their aquanaut badge and then had a blast at a great end-of-year pool party Sunday afternoon. They attempted the Scouting America swimmer test by trying out the different strokes, then slid down the water slide countless times, and even played with sq**rt guns. The parents and leaders provided multiple fun snacks, including fruit, chips, cookies, and cupcakes!! Everyone had fun!!

🦁 🥾 🥾 🐾 🍉🍍🍓🍇🥕🍅🥦🧀 🦁

Our Lions had an end of the year picnic and hike to help several members hit the finish line! We're happy to add 2 new ranked Lions to the Pack. We learned about food groups, healthy eating/sleeping/hygiene habits, and the benefits they all provide.

We fueled up and went on a 1.5 mile hike at Julington Durbin Nature Preserve. We learned about our 6 Cub Essentials and buddy system, the S.A.W method, man made vs natural objects, domesticated vs wild animals, as well as the recycling process and what groups waste materials can be sorted in to.

Such a busy day! Thank you to our Lion leaders (and parents!) over the course of the year for stepping up and forming a foundation for what we hope is a long Scouting journey for this age group at Cub Scout Pack 281 - St. Johns, FL.

Friday night some of our Bears from Den 10 🐻 got the chance to hold the flag at the ingural Waves basketball game! The Scouts had a great time, were featured on the Waves social media and met the new mascot Millie! They had great seats to enjoy the game! Can’t wait to go cheer on the ladies again!

🪙 💰 👛 🐺 This weekend, our Wolves had the PLEASURE of having Mr. Tony B come and educate us on coins and being a "numismatist" and the history behind coinage. They earned their Adventure In Coins belt loop and Mr. Tony gave them kits to start their very own collection! We're blessed to have local leadership in St. Johns District NFC who selflessly give up their time for units other than their own. Cub Scout Pack 281 - St. Johns, FL can't thank him enough!

Committee Chair and Den Mom, Tamara C., led Webelos Dens 3 and 9 on an Art Exploration adventure yesterday. The Scouts experimented with digital photography, painted with watercolors and acrylics, made mixed media sculptures, and learned various drawing techniques with Den Chief Asher.
