The Pop Warner Hall of Fame and Springville Athletic Scholarship Committee is proud to invite the members of the 1996 SGI State Championship Football Team to join us at the 2026 SGI Homecoming this fall as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of your historic championship season.

Your team was inducted into the Pop Warner Hall of Fame in 2006, securing your place in SGI history. As we honor that championship legacy, we are also proud to induct two former team members and your coach this year for their individual accomplishments and continued impact on SGI athletics.

We invite you to be part of the Homecoming parade, then join this year’s inductees on the field for a special recognition ceremony celebrating both your championship team and our 2026 individual honorees. During the game, a reserved tent in the endzone will be dedicated for your team to gather and enjoy the action together once again.

The celebration will continue after the game at the Springville Center for the Arts, where we will formally honor this year’s inductees: Jeff Piscitelli, Mark Rendell, and Coach Jim Duprey.

More details to follow. But for now, mark your calendars and plan to come home to SGI!

As we celebrate these outstanding individuals, we also recognize the 30th anniversary of the 1996 SGI State Football Championship Team. The committee invites all members of that championship team to join us this fall as we commemorate their historic season and previous team induction. While that remarkable team has already been honored, we now proudly celebrate the individual achievements of these three inductees and their continued impact on SGI athletics.
