From our littlest players taking the field for the first time to our ECNL Girls and MLS NEXT teams competing at the higher level, this is what a full club weekend looks like. Games running Friday through Sunday at Lake Country Soccer, Heartland Soccer, Allison Sports Town and everywhere in between! 🚗

Shoutout to some of this weekend's opponents: Toca Fusion, Kansas Rush, Sporting City, and Tulsa Greenwood SC. See you on the field!

Back to school season is here! ☀️📚

This week, so many of our Sporting Springfield players traded cleats for backpacks as several local schools kicked off a new year. We couldn't be prouder of this group, not just for what they do on the field, but for how they show up in the classroom, in the hallways, and in their communities every single day.

Here's to a great year ahead. Work hard, be kind, and represent well wherever you are, on the field, in the classroom or otherwise.

This is the one, Sporting Springfield fam! Season openers are underway across the club this weekend (8/22-8/23) as Lake Country, Heartland, amd Sporting Development League all get underway. ⚽🔥

From our youngest boys and girls teams hitting the field in Lake Country, to our SDL teams competing in Kansas City, to our Heartland squad, it's a huge weekend across every age group.

Good luck to every player, coach, and team taking the field this weekend.

⚽ EDUCATION SERIES: Why do we travel outside of Springfield to play?

It's a question we hear a lot, so let's break it down.

At the level our top teams compete, the quality of competition needed for strong development often isn't available close to home. Travel isn't about chasing trophies, it's about putting our players in front of the level of play that actually helps them grow. It is about seeing the competition first hand to learn what it takes.

Here's what that looks like in practice, by league: (And check out the graphic for more details on each one!)

🏠 Lake Country (Springfield, MO) – Local league play, right here at home.

🚗 Heartland (Kansas City) – Regional competition that raises the bar.

🚗 Pre-ECNL Regional League, Frontier Division – U11-U12 girls.

🚗 ECNL Regional League, Frontier Division – U13-U19 girls.

🚗 Sporting Development League (SDL) – U11-U12 boys, U12 girls. Played in Kansas City in front of Sporting KC's youth coaching staff.

🚗 MLS NEXT, Heartland Division – U13-U19 boys.

🚗 National Academy League (NAL) – U13-U19 boys.

None of this is about outrunning our own backyard. It's about giving every player, at every level, the competition that pushes them to get better. Development first. Always.

This Saturday, U11 Derby and U12 Barcelona boys kick off the season at home, hosting Bentonville Prodigy FC in a friendly match at Betty & Bobby Allison Sportstown. 🏡⚽

They have been putting in the work, and there's nothing like a season opener at home to bring that energy to life. Come out and cheer them on as they take the field together for the first time this fall!
