🎃 OCTOBER IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER. WHO'S READY FOR SPOOKY SEASON? 👻

Halloween is a BIG night in Northampton, and there are 4 easy ways to get involved:

🍬 DONATE CANDY

🍭 NEED CANDY?
If you’re a Northampton resident who expects a big crowd of trick-or-treaters and could use some extra candy, sign up to receive a candy donation: https://forms.gle/2BSdSJWjhCQzDaCY7

🍪 BAKE COOKIES
We need volunteers to bake for the Kids’ Halloween Party Cake Walk on October 24th! Please prepare at least 2 dozen cookies. No nuts or frosting, please. Gluten-free options are appreciated.

💧 HOST A HALLOWEEN REST STOP — OCTOBER 31
Open your home or team up with neighbors to host a Rest Stop! NHOA provides water and glow sticks for trick-or-treaters. Hosts will be included on our annual Halloween Rest Stop Map.

💙 Northampton, we're building something great for 2027… but we're not quite there yet!

Monday night's NHOA meeting was a wonderful reminder of what makes our neighborhood special. Neighbors willing to step up, share ideas and help create the events and traditions we all enjoy! 🎉

We're excited to have Pete Elmhorst running unopposed for President, along with Jessica Cummings and Monica Fisher for VP's, Laura Byrum for Secretary and Dolores Williams for Treasurer. Dolores has also expressed her hope that someone new will step forward to take on the Treasurer role!

We're also thrilled to have Maritza Smith, Greg Ford, and Alison Luikens interested in returning as Directors at Large, plus two more neighbors who may be joining us! ❤️

But we still have room for YOU!

Our goal is to head into 2027 with a FULL board of 5 executive members and 7 Directors at Large. More neighbors means more helping hands, fresh ideas and the opportunity to bring our entire 2027 event calendar to life!

Whether you're interested in running for an executive position or serving as a Director at Large, we'd love to hear from you.

🏡 NHOA is about neighborhood EVENTS, not deed restrictions or HOA enforcement. We're simply neighbors working together to make Northampton a wonderful place to call home.

🎃 Calling all neighbors! Let’s give our trick-or-treaters a place to rest, refresh, and GLOW! ✨

We’re trying something new this year with Rest Stops! We’ve divided our neighborhood into 13 zones, with the possibility of 15 Halloween Rest Stops throughout the neighborhood on Halloween night, Saturday, October 31 👻

💧 What’s a Rest Stop?
A friendly, well-lit spot where kids and families can pause, grab bottled water, and pick up a glow necklace. Rest stops can also serve as a lost-and-found point for the block.

🏡 Want to Host?
Set up in front of your home or team up with neighbors on your street! NHOA provides the bottled water and glow necklaces!

✅ Ready to Help? Check the Zone Map, then visit the SignUpGenius to see whether your zone still needs a volunteer. If it does, grab your neighbors and consider hosting together! If your zone is already covered, consider teaming up with your zone neighbors.

🎃🍬 Northampton takes Halloween seriously! And tonight, we could use a few extra hands!

We’ll be mixing candy to help support some of our busiest trick-or-treating streets, enjoying Casa Medina 🌮 and talking about all the fun we hope to bring to Northampton in 2027.

Come eat, help us mix some candy, meet your neighbors and see what NHOA is all about. 💙 No commitment — just come hang out with us!

🎉 This is what NHOA is all about!

Chili Cook-Off. Valentine’s Soda Shop. Bingo. Easter. Fishing. BBQ. Crawfish. July 4th. Halloween. Santa…and so much more. ❤️🏡

We already have 12 community events planned for 2027 — and we want to make every one of them happen!

But here’s the thing…these events don’t just happen. They happen because neighbors volunteer their time, ideas and talents to help bring them to life.

And just to clear up a common misconception: NHOA is the FUN side of the neighborhood! 🎉 We are completely separate from the Maintenance Fund and do not handle deed restrictions, violations or HOA enforcement. We plan the events that bring Northampton together.

If that sounds like something you’d enjoy being part of, come sit with us Monday night. No commitment. Ask questions, learn about the open positions and see where you might fit.

Ever wonder who helps make all the fun happen around Northampton? 💙🏡

It’s simply neighbors volunteering their time, sharing ideas, planning events, solving problems…and usually having a few laughs along the way. 😂

NHOA has several board positions opening, and we would LOVE to see some new faces get involved! You don’t need HOA experience—you just need to love our neighborhood and want to be part of making it even better.
