We were so thrilled to be able to help honor one of our beloved Veterans today!
Mr. George Baker was presented with the Republic of Korea Ambassador for Peace Medal by the Altoona VA Chaplain, Ben Chon! 🎖️

This award is intended as a Thank-You for the service and sacrifice of U.S. and other Allied Veterans who helped defend South Korea.

Senator Doug Mastriano & State Representative Rich Irvin were also in attendance & awarded Mr. Baker with the Pennsylvania Freedom Medal & special Citations to honor his years of service!

Congratulations Mr. Baker! 💙

Every March 29, we honor and recognize the 3 million servicemembers who were deployed and served in the Vietnam War. 🇺🇸 March 29 was chosen to remember the last U.S. combat troops who departed from Vietnam on March 29, 1973. On and around the same day, Hanoi released the last of their acknowledged prisoners of war. The end of the war is recognized to be the Fall of Saigon, which happened April 30, 1975, with civilians and U.S. personnel evacuating. There are more than 58,000 deaths documented and inscribed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. ❤️

To all Vietnam veterans, your service mattered, and it will never be forgotten. We are forever thankful for your courage and the sacrifices you made for our freedom. Today and every day, we honor you.
