Quick update.

The range fence project is underway and looking great!

Also please take note that alcohol is prohibited on the range. We have placed cameras and if you are caught you will be removed from club membership and charged accordingly per PSP!

Meeting Notes from 12/8/23.
1. With an increase in NON-Members using the range and being caught in the act we obtained a quote and will be fencing the range. We are also looking at a controlable key card entry system for the gate that will be located at the shooting benches. (This protects the club from lawsuits etc when trespassers decide they want to shoot and not pay the $30 per year club membership.) If we go with the key card entry system anyone obtaining membership at Schoens can still do so but in order to obtain the card for entry they will need to attend a meeting to do so.

2. Internet supplier will install system for wifi for the club for many things but mainly our gate security system and security camera system. (The plan right now is no increase to membership we will raise funds to pay for these new systems to help keep our club safe.

3. Bo to watch shotgun shell price so that we can replenish our stock for shoots. Plan for 2025 is possibly 3 different large prize giveaways spaced out. As an example week 3, week 5 and final week 8 shoot.

4. Doug to put together our squirrel hunt.

5. Tony checking on doing another online raffle as we did with at the beginning of this year. Probably a predator set up with thermal this time is planned.

6. Tony ordering new signs for the range for the rules etc...

7. New rule added to the range rules "No Alcohol Permitted on Range while shooting is taking place."

8. Tony to look at putting together predator hunt again for 2025.

Tomorrow’s block shoot will feature and 11th round and you can buy as many shots as you want $10 per shot. The winner will get a 1/4 of beef that was donated from Marshall Goshorn and cut and packed by David McMullen. Thank you both for your generous donation and support of the Fannett Metal Rod and Gun Club.

Some one left a very nice pair of binoculars and targets lay at the club yesterday at some point. One of our members found them and waited for about an hour for some one to show up and no one did. I will have them in my possession this evening. If you can call me and identify the brand of binoculars and what your targets looked like I'll see that you get them back.
