This exciting opportunity highlights something that makes the Spring Lake Schools Foundation unique: our Student Enrichment Program.

Our Student Enrichment Program provides funding for Spring Lake Public Schools students to pursue innovative, academically related interests and activities connected to an SLPS club, group, or class.

Spring Lake High School students are excited to be using brand-new graphing calculators, made possible through a grant from the Spring Lake Schools Foundation!

This grant provided 30 new graphing calculators and charging docking stations for math classrooms, giving students access to updated technology for Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and standardized test preparation. These calculators will help students build confidence and efficiency with the tools they’ll use on important assessments like the SAT.

The previous classroom calculators had served hundreds of students over many years and were beginning to lose their ability to hold a charge. By replacing this classroom set, the math department can also redistribute working older calculators to other classrooms—maximizing resources for even more students.

This is exactly why the Spring Lake Schools Foundation exists: to support innovative learning opportunities and provide the tools our students need to succeed. ✨

The students at Holmes Elementary have been having some extra fun lately thanks to a grant from the Spring Lake Schools Foundation! 🎉

Using their new push carts, students have been playing Hungry Hungry Hippos as part of their STEM-Gym Force Unit, where they explore the science of pushes and pulls through hands-on movement and play.

It’s innovative, engaging ideas like this that make supporting Spring Lake teachers through Foundation grants so rewarding. Seeing creativity in action while students learn through movement is exactly what these opportunities are all about! 🩶❤️

Exciting things are happening at Ottawa Sands! 🌿🐦

The Spring Lake High School Nature Club has installed 20 Tree Swallow nesting boxes and 3 Purple Martin poles at Ottawa Sands Park, made possible through a generous donation from the Spring Lake Schools Foundation.

This meaningful project is being led by Spring Lake High School teacher Karl Sineath, giving students the opportunity to make a real impact on our local habitat while supporting native bird populations.

Next time you’re visiting Ottawa Sands, keep an eye out for the Spring Lake Schools Foundation sticker as you explore and learn more about the area’s incredible natural habitat!
