Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter operates as a "quality of life" shelter, and the devoted workers are committed to making sure that every animal in their care has exactly that. In addition, all animals receive all necessary shots, wormings, and other medical treatments. All would-be adoptive families are carefully screened before being allowed to take home any pet. In this way, each adopted animal is assured of a good and loving home.

We are in need of some items for the dogs and cats calling Ayres home!

From essentials and fun stuff like yummy treats for the dogs, canned food and churos for the cats, to the not fun stuff like cat litter and everything in between it seems!

Our greatest needs right now are laundry soap and clumping cat litter, and both cat and dog canned food - we aren't stuck on any certain brands - anything gets the job done! The only thing we are particular on is kinds of kibble we give - so kitties do best with Purina Complete Cat Chow and thanks to lots of amazing people - or main dog population is stacked with the food the majority uses to keep their bellies full. ♥
