Cub Scout Pack 389 Astronomy Night!

Our scouts had a great time using telescopes to spot the Moon, Jupiter, and Venus—and even found the Big Dipper! A fun evening full of discovery and adventure!

A big night for Pack 389!

At our Crossing Over Ceremony, we celebrated our Arrow of Light Scouts as they reached the highest rank in Cub Scouting and took their next step into Scouts BSA.

These scouts have shown dedication, leadership, and perseverance, earning their Arrow of Light through hard work and commitment. We couldn’t be more proud of all they’ve accomplished.

As they crossed the bridge, they left behind their Cub Scout journey and began an exciting new adventure with South Windsor BSA Troop 682 for Girls, BSA Troop 62 South Windsor CT, Boy Scout Troop 880 South Windsor, CT, and Join BSA Troop 25.

Congratulations to our Arrow of Light recipients, we can’t wait to see what you achieve next!

A big congratulations to Moe Karp and Jason Meade! Each was recognized for their leadership and advanced training in Scouting at last night’s Charter Oak District CRC BSA district awards.

But best of all, Pack 389 was recognized for its outstanding recruitment and bringing in new Cubs to the pack. Leaders, parents, and cubs- well done on your collective recruitment efforts!

This past Saturday, our Cub Scouts hit the track for our Pinewood Derby!

They raced their handmade cars, had a blast cheering each other on, won awards, and did an awesome job all around. From planning and designing to building their cars, our Scouts learned the value of patience, creativity, and hard work; and just as importantly, great sportsmanship as they congratulated their fellow racers.

This month at our pack meeting, we hosted a game night.

Families brought their favorite games, and the Cubs jumped right in: learning, laughing, and building skills together. A fun way to grow as a pack!

This month, Cub Scout Pack 389 went on our first-ever Winter Cabin Camping trip at June Norcross Webster Scout Reservation.

From games, hiking, and outdoor fun to a movie night with popcorn and walking tacos for dinner, it was a weekend full of laughs and great memories.

Everyone had an amazing time!
