Morgan-Scott CEO Class of 2025 alum, Peyton Andras, doing great things!

🐮🌾 A Legacy of Agriculture, Family, and Tradition 🌾🐮

We recently welcomed Will and Peyton Andras of Manchester as guest speakers. They shared the fascinating history of the Andras family ranch, which dates back to the 1830s and spans nearly two centuries of agricultural tradition.

In 1898, the Andras family registered their first Hereford herd and went on to exhibit cattle across the country. Long before modern transportation, train cars would stop in Manchester to load show cattle, tack, and supplies for travel to livestock exhibitions throughout the United States.

As the cattle industry evolved, the family expanded into Red Angus cattle in the 1980s, and today Peyton represents the next chapter of this remarkable story. As the current President of the Junior Red Angus Association, Peyton is helping lead the organization while preparing to become the 7th generation to raise cattle on the family's land.

Peyton shared his passion for returning to the family farm after college, blending tradition with innovation while ensuring the ranch continues to thrive for generations to come.

Thank you, Will and Peyton, for sharing your story and preserving a legacy that continues to inspire future generations. šŸ’™

In an email to MFAA President David Ekin '77, Jaidyn wrote the following thanking the MFAA for her scholarship:

I wanted to thank you so much for the support of this scholarship, it will help tremendously with financial burdens I will face throughout my education.

I am attending Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville as a sophomore this Fall. I hope to honor Jacksonville's rich Deaf history by continuing to expand my ASL skills through active involvement in SIUE's ASL Club and by taking every ASL course available.

My goal is to build meaningful connections with the Deaf community and become a Speech-Language Pathologist who can communicate with clients in their preferred language.Thank you again for this amazing scholarship program, it truly means a lot to students like me.
