Today we are featuring a School Field Trip Grant from the 2025-26 school year—In Search of Shakespeare Field Trip at SAHS 🎭

Students from Souderton Area High School traveled to the People’s Light Theater to see a production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. After the performance students experienced a “talk back” session where they were able to speak with the actors, director, set designers and marketing team for the theater. They learned what it takes to maintain and run a local theater and pursue a career in performance.

This field trip was aligned with the Career Pathways program, providing interested students an opportunity to see a live performance and learn about both the artistic and business careers in theater. Thank you to teacher Michelle Ruch for bringing this project idea to IVEF on behalf of the students at the high school.

IVEF funded over $35,000 in classroom and building grants during the 2025-26 school year. We do this by working with community and business partners to enhance the funding in Souderton’s public schools.

Special Back to School Delivery 🌼✏️🚌🌺

IVEF board members dropped by all 9 Souderton Area schools and district office today to bring a bouquet of flowers to celebrate the beginning of the school year. We loved seeing the smiles of the teachers, administrators, office staff and principals during our visits.

Thank you to the Yothers Family for donating hydrangeas from their gardens to brighten up the office at each location.

The staff and board members of IVEF would like to wish everyone a wonderful start to the school year and we look forward to another year working together as a community to help our students thrive!

Today we are featuring a School Field Trip Grant from the 2025-26 school year—the Chinese/United States Youth Joint Celebration of the Year of the Horse for Souderton Area High School students.

In honor of Chinese New Year, 100 students from Souderton Area High School traveled to the Chinese Consulate in New York City this winter for a day of shared music, art and culinary traditions.

Students in Chinese 3 and 4, Honors Global Studies and AP Human Geography participated along with members of the SAHS Advanced Choir and SAHS Chamber Orchestra.

The music students performed for and then collaborated with groups from Renmin University (visiting from China), Bard College’s Chinese-US Music Institute, and the Manhattan School of Music.

After the musical performances, all students engaged in hands-on cultural activities including dumping making, Chinese calligraphy and traditional Chinese clothing dressing.

This amazing field trip promoted cultural understanding and emphasized the need for cultural and language education in our schools. Thank you to teacher Christine Yardley for bringing this project idea to IVEF on behalf of all of the students at the high school.

Today we are featuring a School Grant from the 2025-26 school year—the Words of Worth Mural Project at Souderton Area High School.

Artist, Tim Gibson, founder of the , visited the high school in late spring to lead a workshop in partnership with Worthwhile “Words of Worth” Initiative.

During the project, Tim prepped the mural site and outlined the design. Then students, teachers and community members were invited to participate in the painting of the mural. In May, IVEF board members and student representatives participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony at the high school to celebrate this creative and meaningful project.

This mural project brought the school community together to create a lasting, visual reminder that each student in Souderton matters. Thank you to assistant principal Matt Haines for bringing this project idea to IVEF on behalf of all of the students at the high school.

SASD Alumni & Friends 2026 Swinging for Education Golf Tournament ⛳️

Today we are sharing more photos from our annual golf outing that took place in June.

It was a beautiful day on the course for our alumni, staff and community members who came out to play for a great cause—supporting the 9 public schools in the Souderton Area School District.

SASD Alumni & Friends 2026 Swinging for Education Golf Tournament ⛳️

Our annual golf tournament took place on June 15, 2026 at the Indian Valley Country Club. It was a beautiful day and the course was filled with enthusiastic golfers playing in support of public education in the Souderton Area School District. You can tell by the smiling faces that everyone had a great time golfing with friends, fellow alumni and colleagues!

Many thanks to those who joined us for lunch and to all of our sponsors and silent auction contributors who helped us raise funds for all 9 Souderton schools!

This annual event is one of the many ways we are able to raise funds to enrich and expand the educational experiences for all of our students!

It’s Souderton Área High School Graduation Day! 🤍🎓❤️

This morning the Class of 2026 visited their elementary schools to celebrate where their educational journeys began! “Walk the Halls” is a favorite IVEF tradition because we love to see the graduates take a trip down memory lane before they walk across the stage to receive their diplomas. Thank you to all of the parent photographers who shared their group photos with us today!

Thank you to all of the Souderton staff members who are attending graduation tonight. Special congratulations to those staff members with children who are graduating including VF teacher, Mrs. Case who shared a sweet picture of her with son Ethan.

All of the board members and staff of IVEF wish the SAHS graduates and their families congratulations on this special day! Class of 2026, go out into the world and do awesome things and always remember we are proud of you! 🎓🎉

Congratulations to our two senior Student Representatives, Lydia Perilli and Charlie Hunsicker, on their final IVEF board meeting before graduating from SAHS. ❤️🎓🤍

Lydia will be attending Millersville University majoring in psychology, minoring in foreign language and swimming for the Marauders.

Charlie will be attending Ursinus College, majoring in finance economics, minoring in accounting and playing baseball for the Bears.

We appreciated Charlie and Lydia’s hard work and dedication to the mission of IVEF at our meetings and events for the past two years. We wish them great success on the next part of their academic and athletic journeys. 🎉
