On Tuesday our youth celebrated the Cultures - Heritages that are recognized in October. Filipino, Italian, Polish and German cultures. We celebrated with education and food. Madison Central High School Freshman Mary Marqus made a slide show presentation that focused on the language, customs, arts, traditions, and famous contributors of each culture. High School Juniors Antonio Rodriguez and Sam Pacheco helped present. One of the highlights was the homemade Filipino Desert, thanks April Burton Cain. Also would like to thank the young men and women of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority for their service and volunteerism. It seemed extra special to have Mason Livers and Zion Bellamy, the current EKU Homecoming King and Queen there to share a few words with the mentees.

We want to take this opportunity to thank our youth mentees for their volunteerism and service this Saturday at EKU’s Homecoming. Not only did the provide outstanding service, in which the EKU-AAR Committee and guest were very complimentary of, the you was exposed to a part of higher education that many youth are unaware of. It was a very festive and positive experience. Rey, Mary, Sofia, Evonyea, and Mina thank you for a job well done 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽.
