Kenai Local Food Connection is seeking a motivated and organized citizen who is passionate about local food! Our organization works hard to connect food growers, producers, makers, movers and shakers with the wider community! The event featured live music, demonstrations, a farmers market and children’s activities. It’s put on by the Kenai Local Food Connection, which works to increase access to local produce and to promote healthy eating.

From one of our founding members, Heidi Chay -- I've watched Kenai Local Food Connection grow from the scrappy group of a half-dozen volunteers who organized the first Harvest Moon Local Food Week in 2013 to a mature organization with a strong network of community partners, volunteers, board, and part-time staff. KLFC has well-established programs aimed at building a thriving local food system and increased food security. These include the Kenai Peninsula Local Food Directory, the Soldotna Seed Library which collects and distributes locally-adapted seeds, Let's Cook classes and demonstrations featuring Alaska Grown ingredients, food access programs like Stay Healthy Food Boxes, and more. We've even produced an award-winning short film, "Nourishing the Kenai," which debuted in 2023.
