The Alabama A&M Metro Nashville Chapter is honored to recognize our very own Chapter Vice President, Tawanda Price as a recipient of the 2026 William Hooper Councill Service Award. This prestigious recognition reflects her exceptional leadership, commitment to service, and meaningful contributions to both our chapter and Alabama A&M University.

Through her work in scholarship fundraising, student engagement, and chapter growth, Tawanda has played a vital role in empowering the next generation of Bulldogs while strengthening our alumni network across Middle Tennessee.

Metro Nashville represent! 💪🏾

Schylar Robertson, an Honors sophomore business administration major from Nashville, Tennessee, will be among seven students recognized at Alabama A&M University’s 25th Annual Black-Tie Scholarship Gala on April 17 at the AAMU Event Center. A recipient of several scholarships, including the Delta Delta Initiates Endowed Scholarship, the DeWayne Carter Endowed Scholarship, the Start Here, Go Anywhere Endowed Scholarship and the 1875 Normalite Scholarship, Robertson says the support of AAMU donors has played a vital role in her academic success.

Amazon has selected Alabama A&M University as one of only five colleges in the nation to lead the South in artificial intelligence education through AWS Machine Learning University. This partnership gives AAMU students expanded access to cutting‑edge machine learning curriculum, hands‑on training, and powerful cloud computing resources.

AWS Machine Learning University (MLU) is an Amazon‑developed program that provides high‑quality machine learning and AI education originally used to train Amazon’s own engineers.
