It was such a beautiful evening yesterday. Thank you to SWO Community Health Education, Native Connections and Wacanga for inviting us to collaborate with them. We worked with Native Connections and provided traditional medicine in the tipi.
Building a community of support is so important for our relatives who are struggling. Creating opportunities for our relatives and community members to learn about our traditional medicines can help internalize a sense of belonging and strength as part of their personal and spiritual identity.
One of our young relatives was so excited we had Lead tea, he said he had learned to make it at school and was glad to take some home. 🌿🌿💙🖤

Our CHW had the opportunity to attend a workshop on facilitating Mending Broken Hearts (MBH). It is a powerful curriculum, and can give those who need it, the tools to help navigate, not only grief and loss but unresolved trauma.
It is a definite recommendation.
Spots are limited, but it is possibility for additional MBH events in the community if there are requests for it.

We were thrilled to be asked to present on traditional teas! mark your calendars!
In our community events we have talked to some moms who have struggled with Kratom use and have stopped using Kratom since becoming pregnant, they are expressed interest in learning about our traditional medicines and how our medicines can help support them, during pregnancy and postpartum.
