Award-winning hoop dancer Starr Chief Eagle performed for residents at Tekakwitha Living Center and Edgewood Vista recently as part of the South Dakota Arts Council’s Creative Aging program. The Sisseton Arts Council brings monthly arts programs to residents at TLC and Edgewood.

As the school year is winding down, we are winding up for a fun summer of art!
It's the 2nd Thursday of the month which means it's Youth Art Night at the library 🎨

Tonite we will be learning some drawing and painting techniques with Alexis as well as making some different flowers using coffee filters and food dye.

There are still a few spaces available for the 2026 Music Composing Academy in Sisseton! The program is open to middle and high school students in the Sisseton area - and it's free! Participants work with professional composers to create their own music which will be performed by musicians from the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra in concerts in the fall. Edgewood Vista residents enjoyed a creative afternoon on May 9th as SHS Art Teacher Taylor Titze and several volunteers guided them in making spring-themed door hangers. The activity was part of the Sisseton Arts Council's Art For Life project.
