Our food pantry is a little low on some items. We could use jelly, pancake syrup, and canned vegetables. The St Vincent basket is located in the narthex. Thank you🙏🏻

We are switching to a new database program so it’s been awhile since my last post. We are at the end of our fiscal year and here are some figures that show how great a blessing our parish is to our neighbors in need in Greenville County, to our parishioners in need, and most especially, to our SVdP conference at SMMCC:

Financial Assistance to Families in Need: 919 families served.
Food Assistance to Families in Need: 2924 families served.
Food Assistance to Families in Need including all members of each household: 9777 individuals.

For all our blessings, we give thanks to God and to our parishioners. ❤️

We are so grateful to our amazing Italian American club. They donate the proceeds from their 13th annual Meatball Cook Off to our conference at St Mary Magdalene. Besides eating amazing homemade meatballs, I had more than the legal amount of tiramisu. We are blessed by their generosity (and great cooking).

SAINT OF THE DAY A priest, a slave, and an advisor to French royalty, St. Vincent De Paul’s life was changed by the confession of a poor peasant and he devoted himself to serving Christ by serving those most in need.

St. Vincent de Paul-pray for us that we may always have a heart of love and mercy in our mission of charity.

On July 13, we were blessed to help 59 families in need with food assistance and 18 families in need with utility assistance. But let’s dive deeper into those numbers. They represent one family unit. We have a second number that accounts for everyone in the family. It’s named Total Helped With Others. When you look at that number, the picture of how many we served last week changes dramatically. The 59 families represents 193 individuals and the 18 families represents 54 individuals: spouses, children, grandchildren, even great grandchildren. Our parishioners who bless us with donations of food and financial support help us to become the hands of Christ reaching out into our community. We are so grateful. 🙏🏻❤️

06/26/2026

On Monday, June 22, we served 74 families in need. Fifty-four came for food assistance and twenty for utility assistance.
We are also so grateful to our amazing SMMCC parish and our Knights for the great success of our food drive. We are all together the hands and heart of Christ in service to our neighbors in need. ❤️❤️
