We are always having to order lots of supplies. This was just today, not including the spay and neuter/testing/microchipping of 6 cats today. 😅 And every month we have vet bills and spay and neuter costs totaling at least $1000 or more across all the vets we use. So every dollar donated to our small rescue goes a long way. 🩷

We have this super super sweet and beautiful, amazingly soft ragdoll /snowshoe mix male kitten available for adoption. He is so so sweet, he’s always purring and making biscuits and he just loves attention soooo much. We actually thought it was a female in heat with how crazy he was acting for attention…but it’s a male. 😂🩷🥰 His name is Peter Pan and he’s about 6 months old and will be available for adoption at our adoption event this weekend. 😄

We have 4 of the most adorable, sweet angels available for adoption now! 3 torbie females and their panther brother. These are some of the sweetest kittens we have had all year, it’s gonna be sooo hard to say bye to them when they get adopted!! Literally all they wanna do is get kisses and be cuddled (when they’re not playing). I love them sooooo much!! 🥰🩷

We went back to the property tonight, to set traps for the cats, and to grab this opossum. Poor thing was still in the same spot, sleeping under an old grill. He was up walking around and drinking water when I got there, but he went right back into his bed. He wasn’t disturbed by us at all, the poor thing. I was able to pick him right up and put him into a carrier. We set 3 traps for the homeowners to keep an eye on to catch some of the cats, and I brought this sweet opossum back to Simi Valley and dropped him off at 🩷 Hoping for the best.

We picked up 4 kittens today, which ended up being 2 different litters. At first we only knew of the older 3-week old kittens, but it turns out that kitten’s siblings all died a few weeks ago and there was only one left. But there was a second litter of newborns that were also found, which have swollen, infected, pus-filled eyes already. 😢 The homeowners don’t want any more cats born on their property, because the kittens die, and the adults all have flea allergies with thinned fur and it costs them a lot of money to feed all those cats. They are elderly and have been trying to trap the cats themselves to get them fixed, but have not been able to yet.

They said there are 6 feral stray cats which need to be fixed, and we have a plan in place with my friend who does TNR near that area to try and catch them tonight. We hope to reunite these newborn babies with mom if we can.

And i am also looking for help for an emaciated, injured opossum that was sleeping in the yard as well if anyone knows of a rehabber in the reseda area. The opossum basically lives in their yard and they don’t mind it there at all, but it looks like it needs help. 🙏🏼

This new family was rescued from an industrial area in LA 😢, we aren’t sure if mama is feral or just scared right now, but she seems really calm (just wants to escape) and not aggressive. 🥰 Babies are about 4 weeks old and super cute. 3 boys, gray tabby, flame point, and seal point, and 1 orange girl. 😍

This baby does have CH or some kind of neurological condition going on. But she’s fully functional as far as we can tell and seems totally fine. 🥰 We have consulted with a few of our vets and CH is the consensus for now, which is not a big deal. 😄 She is on clavamox, and just started eating on her own (with help) last night. Shes 5 weeks old. 🩷

The thing is…this family had a LOT of issues, and this baby is lucky to even be alive. She is strong and a fighter. She is the only surviving kitten from 18… 😢💔 8 had already passed away before we rescued them with their 2 young moms, and then one passed away shortly after. And then it seemed like every day another kitten was mysteriously crashing… it was honestly devastating for their foster mom who kept rushing them to the urgent care…just to lose another one for seemingly no reason at all. Healthy, bellies full, go from active and thriving, to struggling and dying the next minute. Their foster mom then decided to return them to me because she couldn’t take the heartache of losing any more kittens when there were just 2 left. 😢💔 Sadly we lost the other sister soon after, which was 2 weeks ago, but this little one has persevered. I hesitated to even post but I just can’t hold it in anymore, she is so precious and special and we love her very much.

The moms have always been healthy (yes we have tested them probably 6 times at least for panleuk, always negative), zero symptoms of anything from any of them. It’s really been the most bizarre thing. The only explanation we have been told is that they must have very bad genetics from all the inbreeding at the hoarding house they came from, and that the other babies likely had neurological issues or internal congenital defects that caused them not to thrive. We feel blessed that baby Miley is still with us. 🙏🏼🩷

Both her mamas love her very much. 🥰 This was a 5-minute video…it went on forever and they were too cute to stop haha. And no, baby is not stuck up there, she gets up and down on her own. Mama Sia is incredibly loving, and very much a kitten still herself… we don’t know which mom was hers, there were 4 moms and 18 kittens. Since she’s an orange female, there’s a good chance mama Tori is her actual birth mom. 🥰
