🐅 International Tiger Day 🐅
Today we celebrate one of the world’s most magnificent predators—and one of its most endangered.
With fewer than 5,000 wild tigers remaining, every tiger depends on healthy forests, abundant prey, and protected habitat to survive. Their future reminds us of an important truth: when we protect habitat, we protect wildlife.
At Forest Animal Rescue, our mission is dedicated to protecting and restoring habitat for North America’s native wildlife. Although our work is focused here in Florida, conservation is a global effort. Healthy ecosystems—from the longleaf pine forests and wetlands of Florida to the forests of India and Southeast Asia—are essential for wildlife to thrive.
On this International Tiger Day, we celebrate the people and organizations working tirelessly to protect wild tigers and the habitats they call home. Together, we can ensure future generations inherit a world where these magnificent cats still roam free.
Because whether it’s a Florida black bear, a gopher tortoise, or a wild tiger, every species depends on healthy, connected habitat.
Happy International Tiger Day! 🧡🖤
