Step into your Sage era at FPG! 🍁

This Samhain, Florida Pagan Gathering will facilitate a Sage Ceremony for a select few who are ready to be recognized for the wisdom, experience, and service they have provided to their respective communities.

A Sage Ceremony, or Sageing, is a rite of passage in which middle-to-late-aged men are celebrated and acknowledged for their impact on their communities.

The transition to Sage is usually marked by an easing of paternal demands, career changes, or other shifts in masculine roles and responsibilities.

To be considered for Sageing:
🍁Be male or masculine-identifying, middle-to-late age (50-60 traditionally).
🍁Be nearing, traversing, or have completed a change in life roles.
🍁Be prepared to accept the role of Sage and Elder in your community.

Comment below if you are interested in celebrating your Sage-ness with Florida Pagan Gathering this Samhain.

More information will be available soon!

We've gotten a lot of new followers since the end of FPG Beltaine, so......

Here are 20 of our most frequently asked questions and their answers.
If you have further questions you can always comment below.

1. What is the Florida Pagan Gathering (FPG)?

FPG is a multi-day festival that brings together folks who worship and practice under the Pagan umbrella. We also welcome non-religious magickal practitioners. For the last 31 years we have gathered twice a year around Beltaine and Samhain for 5 days of workshops, rituals and fellowship.

2. Where is the Florida Pagan Gathering hosted?

We are currently hosting FPG at Camp Kiwanis in Silver Springs near Ocala, Florida. We are very easy to find off of SR40.

3. How do I register for the Florida Pagan Gathering?

Guests can pre-register for FPG by visiting https://fpgsamhain.eventbee.com. We also have on-site registration open for those who would like to register when they arrive at the festival.

4. What sort of activities happen at the Florida Pagan Gathering?

A typical day at FPG consists of workshops and classes during the day time, with a break for lunch at Noon. Every evening we host a ritual, event or evening workshop. Vendors are open all day. Some folks just like to relax and socialize, swim in the lake and enjoy being in nature. What you do is up to you.

5. Are Children welcome at the Florida Pagan Gathering?

Yes. Children are valued and treasured members of the FPG community. The Florida Pagan Gathering is a family friendly and inclusive event. We have a wonderful Kids Realm area hosted by a talented staff member named Sunshine who creates an amazing list of events and workshops for our littlest guests.

6. Do we have to pay for Workshops and Events?

All activities at FPG are included in the cost of your admission. The only exceptions to this would be crafting workshops where you take something home with you. Those workshops would come with a minimal cost paid directly to the workshop presenter and would be listed in the handbook.

7. What kind of accommodations does FPG offer?

Tent camping is included in the cost of your ticket but we do have communal cabins where guests can rent a bunk for the event. The cabins are climate controlled and have flush toilets and showers.

8. May I bring my RV/Camper or Camp in my Car?

Yes. We have limited spaces for RVs and Campers but if they are sold out there will be room for you in the parking area. Car Campers will also have to camp in the parking area but you will still be very close to the fun of the event and other amenities like the bathrooms and showers.

9. May I stay off-site at my home or a hotel?

Yes. We do not require anyone to stay onsite once they have arrived. Guests are able to leave and return as needed.

10. What kind of services do you provide at FPG?

We have a trolley that travels around the camp to provide rides for anyone who might need a ride from one side to the other. It runs from morning until well into the evening. The Meal Plan offers limited a la carte meals at every meal time (though they cannot guarantee availability so purchasing the meal plan is strongly advised. Info for the meal plan can be found at https://fpgmealplan.eventbee.com). We also have ice for sale throughout the day.

11. Where can I get coffee at FPG?

We host a community sponsored coffee station in the dining hall. All supplies are generously donated by members of the FPG community and a Karma Kash bucket is provided for monetary donations so that we can resupply it during the week.

12. Do I have to attend FPG for the entire event?

No. We offer a variety of tickets to accommodate guests schedules. We have a Full Event ticket for folks attending from Wednesday to Sunday, a Weekend Only ticket for folks attending from Friday to Sunday and a Day Pass for anyone who would just like to come for the day.

13. When is the Day Pass Ticket good for?

Day Passes are valid from 9am the day you arrive until Midnight and include all workshops and events that day.

14. What supplies will I need if I am staying in a Cabin?

Guests staying in cabins will need to bring their own linens, blankets and pillows. Other suggested items include a privacy sheet to hang around your bed and a small table or TV tray for your bedside.

15. Can I teach a workshop?

Yes. If you have a class you would like to teach or a craft you would like to share you just need to fill out a workshop application which can be found here: https://forms.gle/QXNPADpRx6uZGGiv6

16. Can I work on staff?

Yes. We offer a discounted admission and early entry for anyone on staff. We have jobs for folks of varying abilities. You can fill out a staff application here: https://forms.gle/kCJ5q7XbvhwEmrAw8

17. Is Camp Kiwanis a Handicap Accessible site?

Yes. Camp Kiwanis has handicap accessible cabins and restroom facilities. The site is relatively flat and grassy and easy to navigate. We also have our trolley which can help folks with mobility limitations travel the camp.

18. Do you have a payment plan for registration costs?

Yes. You can reach out to Bobbi Jo at [email protected] or send a message through our Facebook or Instagram pages.

19. Are pets allowed?

No. Pets are not allowed but Service Animals are most welcome.

20. Can we swim in the lake?

Yes. Swimming is allowed in the lake between 9am and 6pm ONLY. There is not a lifeguard present so it is Swim at your Own Risk. Children 12 and under must be accompanied and supervised by an adult and there is no access to the waterfront after sundown.

Greetings Everyone!

After every Florida Pagan Gathering we invite all who attend to fill out our post-festival surveys.

These surveys help us know what you enjoyed at our event and where we can improve. It also gives you an opportunity to let us know if you have any suggestions or ideas.

All the surveys are anonymous and we don't ask for any personal information.

We have a survey for the festival as a whole, one for the workshops and one for the meal plan.
