The ICH Spring Job Fair, hosted by the ICH Workforce Development Committee (chaired by our own Senior Director K***a), connected 300+ job seekers with 40+ employers across healthcare, government, retail, early childhood education, hospitality, and more.
CareerCatchers made sure clients arrived ready! In the days before, Coach Maria and K***a facilitated a three-day interview readiness workshop, offered in morning and evening sessions, so clients walked in prepared and walked out with results.

One client left with a job offer. Several advanced to interviews. Everyone made a direct employer connection.

Thank you to the employers, partners, volunteers, and donors who make this work possible.

This May, CareerCatchers launched Spring into Skills, a campaign to help Montgomery County residents access the basic computer training they need to land a job. Our goal is to raise $60,000, and thanks to the generosity of our donors, we have raised a little over $40,000 so far, including a generous $30,000 matching gift from our top donor, the Cliff and Deborah White Family Fund of the Greater Washington Community Foundation. To everyone who gave, thank you! Your support is already making a difference.

In fact, the funds raised are already being put to use. This July, CareerCatchers is launching a new cohort of classes teaching residents how to use Microsoft Word to write resumes, cover letters, and complete other documents that employers require.

With $20,000 still to go, it is not too late to donate. If you haven’t given yet or know someone who would like to support this work, now is a great time to get involved. Every dollar helps a Montgomery County resident take one step closer to employment.

1 in 3 adults need basic digital skills. 9 in 10 jobs require them.

That gap isn’t just frustrating for the people CareerCatchers serves, it’s the difference between employment and being passed over entirely. No missing device or lack of digital skills should ever stand between someone and a job offer. That’s the gap we’re closing this May.

Our Spring into Skills campaign runs May 1–31 with a goal of raising $60,000 to provide one-on-one coaching, digital literacy training, and device access support through our partnership with KindWorks. Thanks to the Cliff and Deborah White Family Foundation, every dollar you give is matched, doubling your impact!

A key moment in our campaign is Spur Local’s Give Greater DC, a regional giving day on Tuesday, May 12th! It’s one day when your gift goes further, your support gets amplified, and the whole Greater Washington region shows up for the people who need it most.
