Abstinence isn’t always a straight line. Sometimes it’s slow, messy, uncomfortable, and longer than we hoped. But every day we stay in the journey, we’re becoming someone stronger than our urges. Don’t rush your recovery — embrace the process, trust the growth, and keep coming back. One day at a time. 💙

I used to tell myself, “I can’t do this.” Can’t stop. Can’t change. Can’t trust myself around food.

But today, I did something different. I didn’t try to be perfect—I just tried. One moment, one choice, one breath at a time. And somehow… that was enough.

Recovery isn’t about never struggling. It’s about showing up anyway. It’s about proving to yourself, gently and consistently, that “I can’t” can turn into “maybe I can”… and eventually, “I did.” If you’re in that space today—where it feels impossible—just try. That effort counts more than you think.

Some seasons ask for growth—others ask for release. 🌿

In my journey with Overeaters Anonymous, I’m learning that surrender isn’t weakness… it’s freedom. Letting go of what no longer serves me—old patterns, false comfort, self-doubt—makes space for healing.

“Let go absolutely.” — OA Literature

Today, I choose trust over control. One day at a time. 💛

Tried to run the show without God again today… turns out I’m a terrible director 🎬

My script? Control everything. Fix everything. Eat about it.
The result? Chaos, cravings, and a reminder that self-will isn’t a superpower—it’s my relapse starter pack.

Recovery keeps teaching me the same truth:
I don’t have to be in charge to be okay.

Let go. Trust more. Eat with intention. Live with surrender.
Turns out, life works a lot better when I’m not playing God.

I’m holding on like I’m in charge 😬…But peace comes when I loosen my grip and trust God instead.

That moment when I’m gripping the seat, convinced I have to control the ride… and I’m terrified anyway. 🎠

In Overeaters Anonymous, I learned I’m powerless over food and that my life gets unmanageable when I try to run everything myself. The peace doesn’t come from holding on tighter—it comes from making the decision to turn my will and my life over to God as I understand Him.

Today I practice letting go, even when it feels unnatural.
Let go and let God. One turn at a time.
