A message from our President:

This past weekend we had the opportunity to be a part of the Black Student Fund (BSF) Expo at the Washington Convention Center. It was so exciting meeting and speaking with the many students, parents, school representatives, and other organizations represented there.

As I enter early retirement from my corporate position, I am rethinking my next steps and how I plan to invest my valuable time. I have decided to follow the "to whom much is given, much is required" route. This year marks 10 years that our non-profit organization has stood the test of time, growing support for communities and empowering students to excel. I am so proud of our Founder, Ms. Jazmyn McKoy. I'm excited to deepen my dedication to our organization and lift young people through philanthropy during my retirement.

As we wrap up Women’s History Month, we’d like to celebrate our organization’s President, Ms. Patricia Williams.

Her heart reflects that of our namesake, Tabitha. She genuinely cares about people and helping her community, especially women.

She is a mentor, lifter, fighter, survivor, history-maker, and more. Her impact in people’s lives, including and beyond the people we serve as an organization, is like seeds that have been planted and will continue to multiply in what they produce for years and years to come.

We celebrate her heart, her good works, her leadership, her accomplishments, and her heartfelt commitment to loving and helping others.

Sincerely,
The Heart of Tabitha Team

“8 minutes and 46 seconds. That’s how long three police officers stood guard as Officer Derek Chauvin suffocated George Floyd to death. 8 minutes and 46 seconds.

Tomorrow, the NAACP and our partners in civil rights and social justice are calling for a National Day of Mourning in recognition of George Floyd’s funeral. And at 3:45 PM ET, the NAACP is asking for everyone to take a moment of silence for 8 minutes and 46 seconds.” - NAACP
