Summer Buddies, Inc. Providing inclusive social skills playgroups for ALL children! For Volunteers: Volunteer with us for Summer 2013!!!

Children with and without disabilities will participate in a variety of fun and educational summer activities that aim to enhance and increase their social skills. Through art, gross motor, fine motor, literacy, multi-sensory, indoor and outdoor activities including games and sports, your child will foster rewarding friendships with a diverse group of children. We will provide specific lessons and

strategies on how to enhance social and play skills through direct and indirect instruction. There will be time embedded throughout the program to practice these learned social and play skills. Directors and co-founders include two highly experienced, and certified special educators, Sarah Lubin and Angela Nance

Taught by two highly experienced and certified Masters Level Early Childhood Special Educators Victoria Dean and Amanda Love. Children will be divided into developmentally appropriate groups based on individual need and developmental levels:
- Little Buddies: Ages 3-5
- Big Buddies: Ages 6-8

Assisted by trained high school and college-aged volunteers, and a Sensory Integration Consultant. Morning (10am-1pm) and afternoon (3pm-6pm) sessions will be held Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays for both age groups from the last week in June through the first week in August

☀️ Our Non-Profit Summer Program is Evolving! Introducing Our Pilot Service: inclusive Camp Consultations to Help Your Child Thrive at Any Camp! ☀️

Our own Summer Buddies camp has not resumed since the pandemic, but we’re exploring a shift to consult based services that will support children in any camp they might attend.

We understand it's late in the season, but there's still time to ensure your child has the best possible camp experience.

We are excited to pilot this new service this summer and are looking for 3-5 interested families now.

Our consultations will be designed to provide guidance and support for children with a variety of needs.

Our consultation services include:
- Strategies for inclusion that help staff connect fully engage kids in the experience
- Social skillls training and strategies and if camps are open to it, short social skills groups
- AAC support and training
- Ongoing support for families throughout the camp season as needed
