Capitol View Park Citizens' Association (CVPCA) Capitol View Park is a unique, eclectic neighborhood nestled between Kensington and Forest Glen. See www.cvpcacommunity.com

The Capitol View Park (CVP) is located in Silver Spring Maryland between Kensington and Forest Glen. CVP contains about 350 homes and is nestled between the B&O railroad tracks to the west and a stream to the east which forms our natural boundaries. CVP was the first historic district in Montgomery County and we have an extremely interesting history. Metropolitan Avenue turns into Capitol View Avenue and meanders south through the neighborhood until it meets Seminary Road. We welcome all residents to become members of the CVPCA.

Halloween Parade & Rockin’ Block Party…Two Traditions in One Big Day! 🎃🎸

👻 Halloween Parade: Our 11th annual parade begins at 3 p.m. by the tennis courts in the park (corner of Grant & Dennis). This year we’re holding our first-ever costume contest! Join the march or cheer from the sidelines.

🎉 Rockin’ Block Party: It’s back at last! Neighbors will gather on Grant Avenue to catch up and celebrate. Fun for all ages!

🎶 Music: Live sets by The Foleys and The Grant Avenue Dad Band
🍕 Pizza & Potluck: If you can, bring a side, entrée or dessert to share. (BYO drinks.)
🎈 Moon Bounce
🧸 Freecycle: Drop off gently used items and take home new treasures!
