On May 27, elected officials, candidates, housing leaders, disability advocates, and community members gathered in Sparks for the Baltimore County Inclusive Housing Forum, hosted by Maryland Inclusive Housing (MIH) and Richcroft, Inc.

A highlight of the forum was a presentation from Baltimore County Government Office of Housing (BCOH) Executive Director Kenyatta Green, who discussed the importance of comprehensive landlord engagement in addressing housing challenges across the county. Green shared her vision for creating a collaborative space where landlords, tenants, stakeholders, and community partners can openly discuss concerns, exchange ideas, and work together on practical solutions.

She emphasized that stronger communication and partnerships are key to expanding housing stability, affordability, and access for all Baltimore County residents.

On May 27, self-advocate Niesha McCoy had the opportunity to address more than 50 elected officials, candidates, housing leaders, and disability advocates at the Baltimore County Inclusive Housing Forum.

A lifelong Randallstown resident living with developmental and physical disabilities, Niesha shared a powerful message about the importance of ensuring people with disabilities are not only included in conversations about housing and community planning, but are truly seen, valued, and heard.

Her remarks served as an important reminder that inclusive communities are built when people with lived experience have a seat at the table and a voice in the decisions that affect their lives.

Thank you, Niesha, for sharing your story and helping advance the conversation about inclusive, affordable, and accessible housing for all.

Our Housing Support Services team had a great time attending the 2026 Partnership for Extraordinary Minds / Autism Society of Maryland Transition to Adulthood Clinic at Montgomery Blair High School on Saturday!

We hosted an informational table, shared housing resources, and met with families and community members to discuss affordable and inclusive housing opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

The event provided an opportunity to connect with students and families as they prepare for life after high school, with a particular focus on the importance of early housing planning. Through one-on-one conversations and resource sharing, the team helped attendees better understand available options and begin thinking about future housing needs and goals.
