Oh what a wonderful feeling.
On behalf of myself and the BOD of HHELP>Helping Hands Empowering & Lifting People, we want to say a big thank you for another successful ALL WHITE TEA FUNDRAISER that was held at MainStreet in Rockville on September 6th.

We were delighted to honor Delegate Jheanelle Wilkins-D20 for her leadership, and what she represents and provide for her constituents everyday.

HHELP was honored by a US Congressional Recognition from The Honorable Jamie Raskin. HHELP was honored with a US Senate Citation from Senator Chris Van Hollen.
The day continued with my grandson speaking about his late mom, ( oh what a day).

We concluded, by asking everyone to be their brother/sister’s keeper.
Addiction has no bias or demographic. Watch your words, words uplift or hurt.

Special thanks to Congressman Raskin’s field representative Mr. Joseph Eyon, Delegate Jheanelle Wilkins, MC Council President Kate Stewart, Council Member Laurie Ann Sayles, Ms. Arnecia Moody of MCHHS, Montgomery County Fire Chief Smedley & his team, all our vendors for attending and their support.

3 years ago today @11:10AM you got your wings. Lorinda, aka: Rindee, Rinda whose life was cut short in 2021 @ the young age of 35, by the struggles of addiction. Lorinda was a vibrant spirit, full of love and lots potential, whose journey reminds us of the profound challenges that many face in SILENCE

Her STRUGGLES with alcohol addiction were a PART of her story, but they DO NOT DEFINE her.
In the wake of our heartbreak, we founded HHELP—Helping Hands, Empowering and Lifting People. This nonprofit is dedicated to supporting families and loved ones affected by addiction.

Through our programs and outreach, we aim to provide the resources, understanding, and hope that are so essential during difficult times.

Lorinda’s story is a reminder of the importance of community and the need for open conversations about addiction.

Through HHELP, we strive to empower others, ensuring that no one feels alone in their struggle like we did. We honor Lorinda by shining a light on the challenges many face, while also celebrating the resilience of families and individuals on their journeys toward healing.

Though Lorinda is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the work we do and the lives we touch. We carry her memory in our hearts and are committed to making a difference in the world, just as she would have wanted.
Lorinda, you are forever loved and missed. Your light continues to guide us as we work to uplift others in your name.❤️😞😇🪽🪽😇continue to RIEP. , , , , , . Check on someone who is struggling.

SONG: Libianca - People: I've been drinking more alcohol for the past five days have you checked on me?

Thanks to speakers: MD State Senator William Smith Jr, MC Fire Chief Smedley, MC HHS Ben Stevenson ( how to save a life), Impact speaker Shyheim Washington,

Thank you to our sponsors, supporters and Montgomery County Media for coming on this Journey with us.
As the song says, Just WALK one mile in my shoe, then you’ll know how I feel. Special Thanks to HHELP Board of Directors this journey continues, I could not accomplish this on my own. With gratitude always See you next year 💜 💜🙏🏻🙏🏻
