Our 1st Annual Theater Arts Senior Night was a tremendous success, thanks to the efforts of our new WHAM executive board members! Michelle Holfester & Jen Larsen transformed the cafeteria to a true celebration space: featuring a red carpet entrance, tables decorated with balloons and framed play posters of all the shows the seniors had performed in, a beautiful & bountiful buffet, backdrop for photos and even karaoke! 14 seniors along with their parents and underclassmen theater friends enjoyed a fun evening, where apps, desserts and memories were shared. Each senior was gifted with a custom designed tote bag to commemorate their theater experience in SWR. We wish all of our Class of 2026 Theater Arts students the best in their future pursuits!

Congratulations to Clara Pedersen!

Shoreham Wading River High school sophomore and bass player Clara Pedersen was recently selected as the recipient of the Long Island String Festival Association's Metropolitan Youth Orchestra Scholarship. This scholarship will cover Clara’s tuition to participate in the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra for the upcoming year. Clara has been a bassist in the ensemble for the past two years. High school orchestra director Ashley O’Connor congratulates Clara on this outstanding accomplishment and recognition of her dedication and musical achievement.
