Shoals Catfish Festival Located in Shoals, Indiana, the Shoals Catfish Festival began in 1985 and has continued to be an annu The Festival is known for The Big Catfish Contest.

The Shoals Catfish Festival allows family and friends to create memories together while participating in various activities and enjoying the serene environment of Shoals, Indiana. In 2007 it became a tradition for the Catfish Festival Queen to "Kiss" the biggest catfish. Each year there the community provides a fireworks display along with a parade. The local Lions Club is known for selling catfis

Continuing events at the Festival include a flea market and children's amusement rides/inflatables. Afternoon and evening entertainment will include various bands performing on the Main Street stage.
