Lucy is still waiting for a foster home!

At 1.5 years old, Lucy is a sweet, active Shepherd/Malinois mix who loves people and gets along with other dogs. She’s smart, full of personality, and working on her obedience. She has so much potential and just needs a chance to settle into a home and keep learning.

Foster Needed!

We’re looking for a foster home for this sweet 5 to 6-year-old girl!

She’s good with people and can be neutral around other dogs. She would likely do best in a calm home with older, respectful dogs where she can settle in and feel comfortable.

Fostering gives a dog like her a safe place to land while she waits for her forever home. If you have room in your home and heart to help, please reach out to EDCGSR. We’d love to find her a foster family!

Meet Daisy!

Daisy is a gorgeous 4-year-old, 75-pound German Shepherd with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She is incredibly sweet, loves people, walks, playtime and, most of all, snuggles and hugs.

Daisy has been waiting a long time for her forever family, and we really hope her person is out there. She knows her basic commands, is potty trained and walks nicely on leash.

She’s been waiting long enough. Pick Daisy!

Another great pack walk in the books! Our dogs had a blast getting out, meeting people, and taking in all the sights and sounds at the Props, Cops & Rodders Show & Shine Fly-In! Classic cars, airplanes, music, and lots of community fun made for a pretty awesome Saturday.

A huge thank you to American River Canine for putting on another amazing walk and helping our rescue dogs get out and enjoy the day. We’re so grateful for everyone who continues to support our pups and give them experiences like this!

Meet Lucy!

Lucy is a 1.5-year-old Shepherd/Malinois mix who is sweet, active, and full of personality. She loves people, gets along with other dogs, and is working on her obedience and learning to stay calm and focused around her furry friends.

Lucy would love an active foster home that is willing to keep working with her and help her settle into a routine. She’s ready for a fresh start and just needs someone to give her that chance.

And yes, that’s Creed with her in these photos! Creed is also looking for his forever home.

Remember Thorin? He was once slated for euthanasia, and today he is living his absolute best life.

Thorin is living on two acres in the country with a young couple, their 5-year-old daughter, a German Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix, and three 19-pound cats.

We are so grateful to his adopters for seeing Thorin’s potential and giving him the life he deserved. Thank you for opening your home and making him part of your family. This is what rescue is all about.

Meet Madison! 🐾❤️

Madison is a 1-year-old, 70-pound German Shepherd with tons of energy and personality. She loves people, LOVES other dogs, and could play fetch all day long!

She’s working on her obedience, loose-leash walking, and learning to stay calm when she gets excited around new dogs. She’s an exuberant girl who would thrive with someone willing to keep working with her and help her be her best self.

Meet this sweet 11-month-old girl, Trinity!

She’s a beautiful mix of 60% Malinois, 25% German Shepherd and a little bit of Doberman. She’s a very sweet girl who is a little on the timid side, but once she gets comfortable, we think she’s going to blossom.

She’s still young and has so much life ahead of her. We’re looking forward to getting to know her personality, helping her gain some confidence and watching her become the happy, confident girl we know she can be.
