We are thrilled to share that we have an incredible 160 players from registered for this season! What an amazing turnout!

Our board is hard at work behind the scenes:
✔️ Finalizing coaching assignments
✔️ Ordering jerseys
✔️ Building team rosters
✔️ Creating field schedules
✔️ Preparing for upcoming league, coaches, and team meetings

We have received a few inquiries about late registrations, and while we understand that things can get missed, we are not able to make exceptions this year. Our program is completely full for this season.

Join us this afternoon for open gym at Shellsburg Elementary — a great chance for kids to get some energy out and have some fun!

This is also a perfect time to stop by if you have any questions about Shellsburg Rec Summer Ball or need help with registration. We’ll be there to answer questions and point you in the right direction! Reminder, registration closes TODAY.

⚾🥎 Why does Shellsburg Rec close registration in mid-March?

We know life gets busy, and we understand that sometimes sign-ups can be forgotten. However, closing registration by March 15 is important so we can properly prepare for a great season for every player.

Here’s what happens after registration closes:

✔️ Jerseys must be ordered, printed, shipped, and organized in time for the season
✔️ Coaches are assigned and provided with team information
✔️ Teams are created and families are contacted
✔️ Fields are prepped so practices and games can be scheduled
✔️ Other towns in our league need to know how many teams we will have

All of this takes time and coordination, and late registrations make it difficult to plan fairly for players, coaches, and volunteers.

Registration is now open for the 2026 Shellsburg Rec Summer Ball season.

Programs offered:
• T-Ball – ages 3 & 4 (Boy/Girl Combination Groups - completion of 1 formal preschool year is recommended)
• Coach Pitch (Boys & Girls Separate) – K, 1st & 2nd grade
• Little League (Boys & Girls Separate) – 3rd, 4th & 5th grade
• Pony League (Girls Only) – 6th, 7th & 8th grade
(based on just-completed grade levels)

⚾🥎 Shellsburg Rec 2026 Season Information Coming SOON!

We’re already planning for another fun season of Shellsburg Rec Baseball and Softball!

Registration will be opening late January/early February!

This year we will be offering:

• T-Ball – ages 3 & 4
• Coach Pitch – Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grade
• Little League – 3rd, 4th & 5th grade
• Pony League (Girls Only) – 6th, 7th & 8th grade

🎉 Shellsburg Rec had a blast in the Shellsburg Big Day Parade! 🎉

It was a great way to celebrate our community and kick off a fun day in Shellsburg and celebrate the end of the summer ball season! Thanks to everyone who cheered us on—we loved being part of the fun! 💙🤍
